Change font size in e mail

The printer prints whatever it's told to by the computer. Your printer really doesn't control the fonts. When you are printing stuff from the internet (web pages, email, etc.) the reason for the small print is that it is related to the size of the monitor and it's viewing setup (the higher the screen resolution, the smaller the print will be when printing it out even though it looks good on the monitor). One way you can make the print larger when printing internet stuff & emails is by changing the print view size on the screen to a larger size in your web browser (this is separate from your other setting you've already setup). Go to the menu bar at the top (i.e. Internet Explorer), click on "View," then "Text Size" then select a size like "Larger" or "Largest" (something higher than what you're currently set to.) Another method is to go to your menu bar at the top of your web browser, click on "File" then "Print Preview". At the top of the window there should be a small window with "Shrink To Fit" in it. Click the arrow for a drop down list and choose something probably above 90% or more (maybe 100 or 125%) and see how it changes the print size of what is to be printed out.The only other method is to copy & paste the text into a text editing software like Word and adjust the text size there. If you're using a text program, then you simply adjust the size of the text to a 12 or 14 point, or larger, font size (adjust depending on the font and size you need) and that should do the trick.

U051

The manufacturers of printers sell the printers at a loss just like Rockefeller gave the chinese oil lamps for free. The idea is to make the money on the supplies, in Rockefeller's case oil and in the Canon case ink cartridges which are horrendously overpriced.I learned the hard way that they have found ways to prevent you from refilling cartriges. I am not sure how they do it, but it may have to do with the chip in the cartridge, which in many printers limit the use to what they "feel" should be an empty cartridge. On some printers the cartridge is tranparent so it is possible to "see" it is empty. The only way I have found is to buy compatible aftermarket cartridges that you can get fro a fraction of the price. But even there the manufacturers try to prevent you using any cartridge not of their manufacture. And taking into account that they gave you the printer practically for free I think they are just minding their business , we try to cheat them, they try to cheat us.I have heard of cases where the new ink and the old, of which there always is some left in the system, when mixing clog the printing head. Repairing that is more expensive than a new printer. It is ecologically wrong, but in case the new cartridges are not just half full, which with some makes is the case, it is often cheaper to buy a new printer with the cartridges than buying the replacement cartridges. I bought 4 Brother printers for less than 2 sets of ink when they had a special offer and have been using the cartridges for quite a while now. In case you use a compatible cartridge make sure it really is, not just claimed to be. I have filled used genuin cartridges with plain water and will flush the ystem by "invisible" water printing before I start using a non original type. Kaarlo von Freymann Helsinki Finland

Printer will print from internet, but not Word

Open a word document, then press file at the top left side of the screen and then press print. When the print window opens, click the arrow next to the name of the printer you are going to use to print and make sure you have chosen the right one. If you do not see your printer name there, then go to your control panel and choose printers and set your printer as the default of choice. Then close and reopen word and try to print again. that should solve your issue.

My printer says paper jam

This is the problem on Canon MP Pixma Models. Their internal board panel is so sensitive. I have the same printer model, i could not detect what was the problem until I brought to Canon Service Center. They advised me to change the internal control panel board inside. Its quite expensive to replace the said spare part and its not advisable to have it repair and change the spare part. Better to buy a new one rather than to spend more monies on spare parts.

My printer says printer head

upon purchase of ink on your printer, their will always a printerhead included on canon ink consumable, install the printer head together with your new cartridge. Or better to ask a store technician for any printer head consumable.
