My Canon MP470 is printing

During certain cases, you might have completed the physical integration perfectly. But still, you might not be able to accomplish the printing. This could be due to the absence of a driver installed in to your system. The problem could easily be averted, if you are installing the driver corresponding to the manufacturer. You might ensure that the version corresponds to the exact version of the printer series also.

Canon Pixma MP 470 Not Scannin

I have the printer. You need to scan through your image software on your desktop. The button on the scanner does not function.

With your image software, there should be an "Import from Camera" and "Import from Scanner." Pick the latter, and it will prompt you through the process.

Took quite awhile to figure that out.

The paper keeps going in crooked then jamming

Toner complaint may also cause paper jams. It can be solved only by replacing it. When you switch on the loop back plug in, two flash lights appear; then it indicates paper jam. The oil spillage in toner can cause this problem. If the toner cartridge is not functioning properly, the same problem would be the result. The diodes or transistors in the fuser unit of the Multi Function Printer may get damaged and this can lead to fuser complaints. To solve this problem, you should replace it.

It says error code 6000

error 6000, and the LED display E2,3, thia error appears when there is a paper feed problem. to solve this problem:
  1. check the timing **** disk film.
  2. check the feed roller (is there any foreing body, remove it softly)
the timing **** disk film is located at the left side of the printer, look at the picture to identify it:

Paper unable to feed

Remove all of the paper from the paper tray and slide the paper guides all the way to the side. Examine the paper for any crumpled or torn pieces, then reload the tray. Make sure the guides fit snugly against the sides of the paper. If the guides are too loose, the paper can feed into the iP1600 skewed and cause a paper jam. If the guides are too tight it can cause the printer to grab more than one piece of paper.

Open the front of the printer and wait for the print cartridges to move to the center. Do not move the cartridges by hand--this could damage the printer and void your warranty.

Pull the cartridges slightly toward you and lift them free of the printer. Set the cartridges aside.

Wipe the interior of the printer with a soft cloth to remove any ink residue and paper dust. The Pixma iP1600 has a tendency to accumulate a lot of paper dust, especially during periods of heavy use. Cleaning the printer periodically is the best way to avoid problems.

Dip a cotton swab in warm water and carefully clean the bottom of each print cartridge. The print cartridges in the iP1600 printer also tend to accumulate paper dust. In addition the print nozzles can become clogged with ink residue, resulting in poor print quality and shortening the life of the cartridges. Continue wiping the cartridges until all ink residue and paper dust have been removed.
All the Best..

I have a Pixma MP 470 that says there is a paper

Open the print carriage access door. Check for any packing material that may be blocking the internal components. Check for an orange shipping lock that may still be in place on the left side. Pull the shipping lock out, if present, and discard.

Remove and reinstall the cartridges to make sure they are properly installed. Lift the front center of the print carriage access door to open it. Lift the door up until it locks into an open position. Press down on a print cartridge and allow it to spring back up. Lift the cartridge out of the printer. Do the same for the other cartridge. Slide the black cartridge into the slot on the left and the color cartridge into the slot on the right. Press down on each one to lock it into place. Lower the print carriage access door.

Check the print cartridges to make sure the protective tape has been removed from the ink nozzles. Remove the cartridges from the printer. Remove any tape or labels. Replace the cartridges into the printer.

Push in on the tab on the left side of the clean-out door on the back of the printer to open the door. Lift the door out of the printer. Check for any paper jams. Jammed paper can block the printer cartridge carriage from moving. Pull any jammed paper out.

I replaced my Canon ink cartrige in MP470 after

If the ink error doesn't clear after you close the lid, switch the printer power off for few seconds. If that doesn't work, try removing and fitting the cartridge again.
Are you sure the error is for the colour cartridge - not the black this time??
If you can't get it to reset, don't panic. It will still print as normal. If it stops and asks for a new cartridge, holding the Stop/Reset button for 10 seconds will make it work again.

hope this helps
