Hi JOHN, first try recalibrating it, instructions on how to do that are here:http://leapfrog.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/2225If calibration doesn't resolve the issue, you can reset the LeapPad with these steps:1) Launch the LeapFrog Connect application2) Press and hold down Ctrl + Shift + R3) A pop up window will prompt you to connect the device you wish to reset4) Power on and connect the LeapPad
Resetting your leappad ultra isa breeze. First thing you need to do is to download and install Leapfrog connect. If it doesn`t download, there`s an offline download option available. After installing it, connect your leappad ultra with the usb cable to the pc. power it on. it should get connected. If it doesn`t maybe your anti virus software is blocking it. If this happens, go to your antivirus software settings and under firewall rules, select allow for leapfrog connect .exe. Then it should detect your leappad ultra. Go to left hand top corner , select My Products. Then select your leappad ultra. Then goto Settings on the right top corner and in the pop up, select Reset. 4. You'll land on the "My Account" page.
5. Click "Account Information". Directly beneath the orange "Edit" button you will see the Parent Lock code information for any LeapPad3 or LeapPad Ultra set up using this account.
