I put in a new set of batteries and the data synced/downloaded to scout.

My experience is that after charging for some tens of minutes it will start. But I seem to be unable to charge the battery enough to have it work for long.

Our violet was doing the same thing, as though the on/off paw was pressing all the time. I have just replaced the batteries, and it seems to have fixed it. In one of the manuals I read it says if she is behaving erratically, then replace the batteries, and that the included batteries are for display only. We only had her a month!

We have a Violet and she in need of a bath. I took the voice box out of her andfound that her wires are not removable from the voice box. You have twochoices here. Rent/buy a steam cleaner or buy a new one and program it. I amvery frugal and will resort to rebuilding something myself if I can save a buck. Short of getting a sodering iron involed (which I might do) those are your onlyoptions.
