Besides the other advice here, check your bobbin case. At first I didn't get my thread hooked into the bobbin case properly and had problems that looked like the bobbin tension was not adjusted properly. I have to take the case out, put in the bobbin to make sure it's caught properly and then put it back into the machine. This is what worked for me.

All you need to know when you purchase designs from the internet is that your Brother PE770 will only recognize DST and PES formatting. There isn't anything else!

Check your needle, your needle plate, bobbin, bobbin carrier and shuttle for burrs. smooth with fine sand paper if you find any. If it's a needle... change it.Good luck

It's bound up with broken threads.. clean the bobbin area.

loops on back... tighten top tension.

the machine may need to be checked to see if there is somethingwrong with the connection between the button & the cutter

It is exactly that needle guide hook.locate the needle guide and you should see a small hook that resembles a wire, it sometimes gets relocated to the bottom of the needle guide, its needs to be moved to the middle so it will hold the thread. look at your sewing machie for placement of hook if not go to trouble shooting by brother . Do not try to repair yourself because you may damage the hook at your own risk, hope I could help ---MR fixit

Needle bar probably catch the presser foot, because it does not return the the right position. Clean and oil the presser foot assembly. There is no tension adjustment there. It should move freely about 1 cm.

Just use a regular printer type cable. On newer models, they use a regular USB connection so it's easier to use USB keys

Brother says it should not be oiled but having 14 of those, I know that it has to be done but a Brother technician will not do that. OILING the machine may cause F05 speed sensor error. See how to solve it under this label.U need to remove the complete front plastic panel. 3 screws on the top (2 lower the handles, 1 at upper right. Remove 1 screw at the center bottom of the rear panel. Remove both left top/ bottom panels (1 screw each) then the horizontal bottom left panle (2 screws). All the balance is fixed with clips.First undo the 2 clips under the machine than carefully unclip everywhere. Front panel have 2 wire assembly attached to main board. Regular one is easy to remove. To remove the flat one, send down the upper part of the attchment on the main board.Don't use reg. thin white sewing machine oil, it evaporate. Use SAE 80 (differentail type) oil or something like taht. Lubrificate all 4 lower shaft supports, rotary hook gears and central pin (from the top, under the bobbin case). Then lubrificate all the upper shaf support and especially all the needle bar mechanism. U need a good light to see upper needle bar support. Lower needle bar support support is the most critical point.

Your machine would be able to perform 5 X 8 embroideries. The hoop size on this machine is recognized by the machine itself, depending of the embroidery file size. So it the embroidery is small, it will indicate that the small hoop is needed.But U can use the large hoop, position the embroidery where U want then perform another embroidery on the sams hoop.TRICK : the embroidery size exceeds the hoop? reduce it in X and or Y using this function on the machine

Bobbin is installed backwards. Check the rotation of the thread when you install the bobbin. look at the picture on the machine. In most cases you can just flip the bobbin over. hope this was helpful
