Brother XL5600 is not stitching properly and dropping stitches?
need to check the hook timing.
put it in zig zag, no fabric, turn the hand wheel to you slowly.
check the needle when it is coming back up, is the hook picking up the thread? if yes continue to check the next side, so if you check the left side then check the right. if any side its not picking up the thread then the timing is off and need to be retimed
I have a Brother Lock Serger. 1034D The Pressure foot Lever just spins around.
If you can remove the cover on the left side you will see the presser foot bar. On the bar there will be a screw that may be loose. Turn the handwheel until the needle is all the way down and lift the foot manually until just before it makes contact with the needle clamp and tighten the screw on the presser foot bar.
That should do it.
I have the Brother LS2300 and when I push the pedal to begin sewing it tangles and becomes unthreaded
This is most likely a threading or a tension issue. Take out both the top and bottom threads. Clean all the areas you can get to, top and bottom, to remove any tiny pieces of thread and fluff. You'll be surprised how much trouble two or three little bits of old thread can cause. Re-thread the machine and check your tension settings.
Are you using a different type/brand of thread, have you changed the needle or are you sewing a different type of fabric? These can all affect how a machine sews so you might need to adjust your tension settings.
I have continued looping on bottom. Brother SE 1900
Have you tried adjusting the bobbin tension? There's a small screw on the bobbin case so the bobbin can be adjusted. only turn the screw a little at a time. Also be sure your top tension isok. However if you still need help these days you can buy a new bobbin case and a new top tension, both will be adjusted already to use from the factory. don't let it drive you crazy they sell the preadjusted parts for us few that just want to sew not be a tech to just sew a blouse etc. I hope this helps. good luck
