If the tread keeps breaking could be it's old thread, need new needle or needle and thread not the right combo for material. Or yiur tension is too tight. not sure about the brush falling off. Up to you to try sewing.

You need to figure out exactly what is causing the brown spots. If it is, in fact, old oil, you may want to moisten a soft piece of fabric with rubbing alcohol and clean the presser foot bar and needle bar as the oil could be running down and staining the fabric.

It would probably be best to just buy a new bobbin case for your machine. There are some very intricate settings for a bobbin case to work and unless you have the technical expertise and tools, it most likely will not perform satisfactorily. (FWIW, many sewists, me included, have more than one bobbin case for a machine because each is set up for different weights of bobbin thread. For the most part, they are not that expensive.) ...

In order to 'see' the .pes files you have to have some software to read it like embird or embrillance. Embird is $164 but has some neat features such as being able to change colors and convert from one type embroidery files to another. You can just transfer them to the USB drive by: Plug in your drive, copying them, eject the usb drive, and then plug it into the machine. The machine will read it without you having a program that can read machine formats.

Judy, I believe the best way to determine the stabilizer for your need, would be a test and play method. Work your way up to where you are satisfied with the results. I believe you will find the perfect setting for your project. GOOD LUCK FRIEND.

The way you are explaining your problem makes me think your. spool is knotted. Check it buy pulling out and unraveling the thread. This may answer your question. GOOD LUCK FRIEND.

I don't think you can turn the alphabet upside down on your machine so why not turn your work instead?

Hello, Unless you have and know how to use digitizing software, will you be able to add width to the satin stitches when doing applique. You need to cut the applique fabric larger than the cut-out-line so the applique fabric will held down properly. Some Commercial or higher end home embroidery machines can re-interpret the embroidery design and widen the satin stitches in a design without software.

1. thread machine correctly. 2. make sure the bobbin is installed spinning the right way in the bobbin case. 3. put the tension knob back to middle (if this is possible numbered tension knob)

Completely unthread the top and bobbin threads. Clean any lint build up out of the bobbin race assembly using the little brush and some canned air. Check that the needle is inserted correctly...with the flat side towards the back. Then carefully rethread the top and the bobbin threads. Make sure the bobbin is inserted correctly...if it's backwards the machine won't sew properly.

Most likely the machine is not threaded correctly or the material is not properly streatched and locked into the hoop.

Try changing your needle, make sure there is no thread caught in the looper, and maybe use different thread brand. My machine does not like Coats and Clark brand it eats it up every time try sulky or another higher end brand thread if your not already using it.

I am wondering if it could be an issue with the type of needle you put in there. I am having trouble with a sewing machine tension and the store people told me that you have to use the manufacturer/ original style bobbin (it's engineered to fit the gadget 'Just so'). I know on my non-computerized Brother sewing machine, that I can change the needle position to L/M/R and I see it move when I move it left and right. I guess you've probably checked all of the other settings on your machine? Is the presser foot coming unscrewed?
