If you closely examine the door where it bolt up to the metal is probably bent a little so when you tighten up the mount its just not tight, bent the metal a little and should tighten things up for you. If nothing else take the other side off and look at how this are shaped on the other side.

Sometimes not getting power to start can be the simplest thing. Make sure your battery is getting good connection, take the battery cable off the battery post and clean any corrosion off between them with wire brush, pocker knife or battery post cleaning tool.
