They are pretty simple. There are a bunch of plastic fasteners under neath and in the wheel wells. Once the inner fender liners are out of the way there are a couple of 10mm bolts that go thru the top side edge into the fender from the bottom.
No , Cadillac's do not have a fuel cut off switch , not like ford with inertia fuel shut off switch . GM vehicles have fuel pump relay , located in the under hood fuse box , in most case's . What model Cadillac do you have ? The PCM/ECM - engine computer energizes the fuel pump relay by supplying battery voltage to the control side (coil) of the relay , closing the contacts inside sending battery voltage to the fuel pump. The computer won't energize the relay if it doesn't see a input from the crankshaft position sensor .
All GM products have this same way of controlling the fuel pump. Watch this video on how to test the relay an electrical circuit. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=McnXLcJNVfI&t=858s
There is a filler bolt near top of gearbox if you put your finger in it and thair is oil its your gearbox or airflow monitor you can fill it by top gearbox line going into radiator if you have over heated this gear box or motor real hot its your seals and its cheaper to get new gearbox trust me good luck p/s don't ever over fill the box ok bye
Trouble Code Conditions:
DTC P0117, P0118 and P0125 not set, Engine started; and the PCM detected the ECT sensor indicated more than 270ºF for 10 seconds. The PCM uses the ECT sensor to detect if the engine is running too hot (when the ECT sensor is over 268ºF). If the engine is overheated, DTC P1258 will set. The PCM will disable 2 groups of four cylinders by turning off the fuel injectors. By switching between the two groups of cylinders, the PCM is able to reduce the temperature of the coolant and lower the temperature.
Engine cooling system problem (test the cooling fan operation)
Engine coolant level is low or the mixture is not correct
Had the same problem. 2005 Cadillac CTS with the 3.6L V6 would not start after a oil change. I started looking for wires and stuff that might have been disconnected. That is when I realized that I had also checked the air filter. The hose from the air filter box to the intake had come slightly loose from the intake. The car would not run with an air leak at the air cleaner box box hose. Put the hose on tight and problem fixed.
You're in need of a professional locksmith my friend. e will reset everything with his tools and knowledge so that it works the way it should. When you call said person, tell them the problem so they can bring along what will be needed.
the idle speed actuator has been the culprit. Your P027 code tells you there's probably a problem with the switch inside the actuator. The actuator is a black device, about 3"x2"x2", with a plunger sticking out of it that pushes on the throttle linkage at the throttle body. If you're skilled in repairing small devices, sometimes the actuator can be disassembled, cleaned and lubed, and it'll be fine again, otherwise you'll need a new one, about $125 to $150. It's only held on by 3 little nuts, but one of them is a pain to get to. Also, the nuts are stainless, so if you drop one into a tight spot, you can't fish it out with a magnet.
