Sounds like you might have some corrosion at the contacts on the controller causing high resistance. If you are unsure where it is located, follow the cable from the throttle plate to the controller which will be black, and usually has a soft rubber cone shape on one end where the cable attaches. Pull the plug and inspect it for corrosion. You can clean the contacts with electronics spray or a mixture of baking soda and water. (1 tablespoon to 4 ounces of water). After the contacts are cleaned and free of any corrosion, rinse them thoroughly.

Hi, You dont say which engine But 68 cads use 400+ cubic inch engines. It is the same as the 327.s. This is a very important procedure and MUST be done in stages and in a certain bolt tightening sequence You start at middle top and work your way around the pattern to just snug up the bolts. Then to 25 lbs following pattern Then 50 lbs Untal you reach your correct torque. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN. You have to go on line (say Auto Zone site) and get the correct pattern and torque .
If you have installed new gaskets make sure they are installed correctly. should say this side up or right and left. If you don't find your spec's on line I can look them up in my goood old school books for you. Mike.

Inside of each tire attached to the valve stem is the sensor that transmits the air pressure to the indicator panel. It is possible that the sensors have gone bad on the rear of the car or that for some reason they were removed when new tires were mounted on the car. The only way to check that out is to have the tires dismounted and check the transmitter on each of the rear tires.

No. The casings will not allow for it to be turned around, if it is upside down the direction will change and the rounded side of the tooth on the crown wheel is the drive side- designed to take the load.
