What is a waste toner box. what does it do and. BEWARE THIS NUMBER 1-800-975-0148 IS SPAM HERE
like the name suggest, it collects waste toner. Any toner that is left over from the print process is waste toner. Once the waste toner bottle is full, the printer will stop working until You have replaced it with an empty waste toner bottle. So in short, if it is telling u to get a new one, get one or the other option is to empty it yourself which is very messy and if u dont clean the bottle of all toner dust, may not even work.

Printer is showing offline and it's connected
If you "right click" on the printer icon, is there an option to "use printer Online", If so click it, and the problem should be solved. If it just says "use printer offline" then that is not the problem, and I suggest re-installing the software.
Please let me know
Need to set language to ENGLISH
You need to uninstall the print driver software and reinstall.
Here is a help page from Brother to guide you:
Brother Language Change
You will need to download and run the uninstaller software from Brother. It can be found at:
http://www.brother.com/pub/commonid2/uninsprn.exe
When you get to the reinstall portion, it leads you to download the driver from Brother. You can do that to be assured of the latest version, or use the disk that came with the printer.
If you need additional help, use the Comment button.
Thaks for using Fixya.
Paper jam with Brother HL-2030 laser printer
Being a retired electronics technician, I located and downloaded a copy of the service manual. Then proceeded to hunt for the reason why the Paper LED was staying on. I put the printer into the Production diagnoses mode, then by process of alimination opened and closed each panel and cheack each sensor switch one at a time. At which time it was apparent the problem was the rear door sensor. So I started to disassemble the printer getting instructions from the Service manaul, as most electronic equipement there is a sequence process to accompliah this. and once I found that the method of the rear door sensor operated I found the bracket was not in the right position. I put the sensor bar back into it's proper position and put the printer back to normal opperateing mode, I found my problem was solved. So I reassembled the unit and plugged it back into the compter ran a couple of test sheets and cleaned and aligned the printer head(s) made a few adjustment and everything was back to normal.
I must say that locating the Service Manual was a feat, but worth every cent I paid for it which was $9 USD. Personally i think all service manuals should be available for all Brother products for a fee, then a large number of problems can be fixed by the owners without much bother to Brother.
I ahve two of these printers and would still purchase a Brother colour printers, my next purchase is going to be a Brother color laser printer. Out of all the printers i've used on my computers I like the brother the best.
Outlook won't print to Brother MFC7360N AllInOne Laser Printer
Must be set on Brother MFC-7360N series. Set on PC-FAX will not print with all programs, as it is printing with an output through the fax. Go to control panel, select devices, printers to change to pc-7360 series. This should print on all programs.
PRINTING VERY GREY NOT BLACK
Poor quality "black" may be the result of improper voltage designed to pickup the toner and transfer it to the drum. Or, you may have a poor quality toner (or the wrong toner) in the cartridge. Various manufacturers have different toners based on electrical charge. There is both a "positive" charged toner and a "negative" charged toner. In fact, libraries that use micro film printers often have white letters on a black background... ugly and hard to read. If you take the toner cartridge and put in a positive toner in the library cartridge, you can actually switch the polarity and the image and end up with black letters on a white background. .... really neat and it works!
Clean off the wire on your cartridge unit. You can remove it from the machine, look for a tab on the top that can move back and forth to clean the wire. If you are getting streaks down your page, it can either be an old drum (which you will have to replace) or a piece of lint or dust attached to the toner wire. Once you clean off the wire and remove the lint or dust, it will not leave the streak.
I know some more but that's enough for now. Good luck.
3b error code on display unable to print
Sorry, this is a serious error and it means the PC board is toast. On
mine, it gets to 22 on the counter (I assume it's a RAM integrity check)
and then the LCD turns red and says "Print Unable 3B". When I called
Brother they told me I needed a new PC board, which by the way is very
hard to get to (you have to disassemble everything, then take apart the
printer piece by piece). The price for the PC board is around $100 plus
labor, so you're talking easily $200 to fix this.
Thanks Brother for making a self-destructing Lemon of a printer, the
Brother HL-4040. And thanks for telling me I was on my own and to fix it
a local repair shop.
Prints only blank pages
I have a brother MFC 3240C. My Black ink stopped printing(initially printed horizontal faded lines and gradually got worse), the other colors were printing fine. I tried cleaning numerous time( 50 -100 times over 1-2 weeks ). Still no improvement. The way I print now is:
1. I go to Printer Properties
2. Change Media type from "Plain Paper" to "Inkjet Paper".
3. Change Quality to "Photo".
This takes a long time to print 1-2 minutes per page. However, this works for me since this is my Home printer and use it for printing only few pages here are there.
Good Luck

Power outage and now my brother HL-5250DN Laser
Your printer may have experienced damage to electronic components with the outage, especially if due to a lightning strike causing the outage. You should have a shop troubleshoot and decide if it will need a new board, such as a formatter/logic board.
