try with battery out & restart pc or reset setings=default options

Please try to deactivate the Fn (function) key. That will help you get rid of your problem. Press Fn key + Numlock key once and try again. You can also try pressing the Fn key once and type letters in any word processor program with the key combination everytime you press the Fn key once. E.g. open the notepad, press Fn once and after that press ) with Shift.

A multimeter is a device that tests electrical properties of various devices and components. You use the multimeter to test the voltage of the adapter to see if is working and gives the correct voltage that your laptop requires.

Hard drive has been coruppted. Hold alt f10 on statup to format and reinstall. If that dont work you may need to try install from cd's provided when you purchased laptop. If that dont work buy new hard drive and restore from cd's. Good Luck.

try taking out the battery and unplugging the power cord from it and then holding down the power button for the count of 5 the long way 1 one thousand two one thousand ect.... this will drain back the power from the board and it just might boot after you plug everything back in again and try to power it back on

Your power from the charger flows through the batteries for your computer. Move the connector around slightly and see what happens. If it continues, there may be a problem with the connector or plug.

If this is your email address, then you need to log on to Orange.fr website and select delete account.

On your laptop go to Control Panel-->Device Manager and then under Network adapters see if you have any Bluetooth Devices install in your laptop. OR Click on the Windows Button and in the Search Box at the bottom type in Bluetooth and see if anything comes up. Eg Turn Bluetooth On.

This sounds like either your OS or your HDD has failed. Try testing your HDD for a Read Element Failure.

Hi, You need to Acer eNET Management, the empowering Technology,
using Acer eLock Management and Acer eRecovery Management, you must initialise the Empowering Technology password. Right-click on the Empowering Technology toolbar and select "Password Setup" this will enable you to do so. If you have not initialized the Empowering Technology password and run Acer eLock Management or Acer eRecovery Management, you must create it.
Acer eNet Management this will assist you to quickly connect to both wired and wireless networks. to access this utility, select "Acer eNet Management" from the Empowering Technology toolbar or
run the program from the Acer Empowering Technology program group in Start menu.

i am having the same issue on my travelmate8371 it is definitely the laptop itself with the issue as i have my old battery and a brand new one, i have used the old battery much and used the spare one from time to time. my laptop randomly shutdown and cannot recognize that there is a battery in it being years after getting it through my highschool i must wonder if it an issue fixable today
