Got an error 5200??? I've got 5 new inkcolour

Always be careful when you come to doing such things. I think you should try and recovery to factory default.

Probably the hard drive if you've already changed everything else.

If the hard drive it's loaded on is very old or is almost full, then either replace the hard drive or get an external hard drive and install it there.

Error no 5200 is caused by its temperature high.. to solve your problem follow the instruction given below::

1. Turn Off printer, cable power still plug in.

2. Press Stop/Reset button, don't release the button.

3. Press Power button by holding without release and than release Stop/Reset Button.

4. Press Stop/Reset button two times (2x) now release the Power Button.

5. Wait until service mode to zero (0).

6. Turn off the Printer, cable power still plug in.

7. Press Stop/Reset button, don't release it.

8. Press Power button don't release & than release Stop/Release button.

9. Press Stop/Reset button four times (4x), wait until service mode to "1"

10. Turn off printer, and loose cable power, wait for one (1) minute.

11. Connect cable power, turn on printer again, now this printer ready to use.

Your printer might be running out of ink, if you've seen that the ink button blinks, youy need to replace your cartrudge or refill your ink.

P08 (Print head temperature rise error) : 6. P08 (Print head temperature rise error): thermalprint head temperature exceeds a threshold.
Replace the new cartridge print head and / or change a new logic board.

Check For Paper Jam also ajust your Paper Feed selector for right size ..

canon mp490 error 5200 solution...... turn off printer,then hold reset button(the red 1 circle with triangle in middle) for 5 sec then whilst holding reset button turn power on let go of reset button then push reset button twice whilst still having hold of power button then release power button then push reset button 4 times and then power button twice hope it works it did for me carlos:)

Error 5200 is a printhead temperature error, sounds like you need a new printhead. The part number is printed on the side of the printhead. it's a QY6 number
