Make sure on the Page Setup tab that the Page Layout says 'Normal-size' and not 'Poster' (poster tries to place four documents on a single printed sheet). If this is not the problem, try uninstalling and reinstalling the printer driver.

Hi,
The default paper selection/ size in MS Word is 'letter'. you may have designed the document on letter size and while printing you have A4 size paper in the printer.
So, Make sure that you design the document on the same paper size (such as A4, which is commonly used). Secondly, while printing don't print the document directly. From the Print dialogue option choose the exact paper size and un-check (de-select) any option of paper resizing (if available). You will have the documents printed exactly as designed.

Let me know if any further clarification/ assistance is required.

Hope it helps! Good Luck! Thanks for using Fixya!

Documents only print in the top left hand corner of the paper, and is too small to read. Paper size, is set correctly, document type is correct, the driver is the newest availalbe.... how do I fix this?

There is two paper size settings one in the document and one on the driver, check page size in word or pdf or whatever you are trying to print from, does it do it to all documents including windows test page or just some?

HP Deskjet F4200, prints blank page

I went into print settings after failing the diagnostics.
Printing normally would just feed the paper through with no ink.
I set the settings to specifically "Fast Draft" and adjusted
minor things like paper to A4 and color to grayscale for the
print job at hand.

Bingo!

Paper feed problem from both tray 1 & 2

There is a long set of sensor flags on the bottom of the paper input unit that can get stuck and not move freely. This will cause jams from both trays. Try unplugging the printer, removing the toner cartridges and tray 2. Turn the printer on its back or side. You will see a long, black plastic bar with flags on it that runs the length of the paper input unit. make sure it moves freely.

Brother HL-1440

I'm not sure if this will help, but are you printing from adobe? If the page is a little small on the pdf and you have Adobe set to "adjust paper size to fit document" the printer will keep trying to print to A4, which is smaller than letter.

If the printer itself is doing this when printing from any program than I'm not sure what is wrong.

Did you try uninstalling and reinstalling driver? Do you have the newest version of the driver, i have the same printer and I think online a May 2008 driver is available

Epson R300 printing only in top left corner of page

Change the paper settings in the driver when you go to print. If you have it set to 10x15 it will only print a 10x15 patch in the corner.

Go to START, PRINTERS AND FAXES then right click on R300 and select PROPERTIES. Click PRINTING PREFERENCES and set the correct paper properties. Click OK all the way to desk top and the settings will be saved.

On the printer panel press ADVANCED, scroll down 3 times to PAPER SIZE and press OK. Select A4 and press OK.
