My Fridigaire washing machine worked fine before i moved. I just hooked it up and the water just keeps running over and never kicks the cycle on. After cleaning up the mess i manually turned the switch to final spin it drained the water. Then i tried different load sizes to see if any difference but it just continually ran and flooded the floor. Then i put the switch to rinse to see if the water stopped in that cycle and water kept running and never shut off to go in the spin cycle. Any idea of why the water never shuts off?

You could have a bad level sensor or a pinched/severed/unattached vacuum hose which goes to the sensor device. The washer cannot determine how much water the tub is filling so the water keeps going in. I would check that the vacuum hose is simply not connected and that would be the easiest fix. The sensor device is usually located inside the control panel area and you can start there.
Its much more likely something is clogged either in the drain or the drain hose or their is something lose like a clamp on the water outlet system or the water valve is stuck open .
Do you shut the water off at the valve on the wall after you are done washing .This is why that valve is their always shut THIS OFF after you are done washing
This could be the problem its a diaphragm valve if it popped the machine will just keep filling until you shut the wall valve off .
The valve is on the back of the machine ware the 2 hose's hook to it . Its 50 to 60 dollars .Look at the owners manual it will show you how to pop the clips and open the top up to get at it the rest is EZ
Your pressure switch stops the water and allows it to start the next cycle. It's a switch either in the control panel or at the top of the tub with a small tube connected to it which goes down between the inner and outer tub. As the water level increases the air in the tube is compressed until there is enough pressure to make the switch stopping the water from filling. This tube can get clogged and the switch won't work. Remove the tube and clean it out. Blowing on the tube when it's still connected to the switch will make the switch if it's working and clear.
Water inlet valve
If it fills with water and starts the cycle and the water keeps running in then your water inlet valve on the back where the water supply comes in is sticking. It needs replacing.
Yes it is very possible. If it fills with water and starts the cycle and the water keeps running in then your water inlet valve on the back where the water supply comes in is sticking. It needs replacing.
there is valve in the back of the machine where the 2 pip going to the machine if it get power even when the spin cycle is on then the controll panel is bad if it is not getting power but the water keep comming in the valve is bad also check that the pressure switch is working fine and the tube to it is clean from suds. hop it help you any more help you need go to 911servicetoday.com :)
This machine has a water valve that works on vaccuum from the tub. You will see a small clear hose that runs from the side of the tub up to this valve. This valve is adjustable to change the water level in the tub to desired setting on some machines, but if it goes bad, it will not shut off, thus overflowing the tub. Find this valve and replace it if adjustment does not work.
In yor machine control panel you have A part called a pressure switch or water level switch. that controls the water level and tells the timer to start aggitating .If the part is bad the machine will over fill and keep running the water!!
If it only overflows while the washer is running, check the pressure switch, or water level switch. The hose may have come loose, or could have a hole in it somewhere. Otherwise the switch may be stuck or may need to be replaced.
If it's overflowing when the washer is off (i.e. in the middle of the night when there is no laundry in it), then check the water valve.
