Turned on computer today and my screen is blue green, does not change using monitor buttons?

Sounds like you are using an analog standard VGA cable interface. Since the menu has the correct coloring, it is not the monitors fault. Check the connections of the video cable at each end to ensure they are tight and not kinked. If they are ok, try using a different video cable. If thew problem still exists after that, it is probably the video card in the computer.

Compaq monitor auto adjusting

Press the button labeled "Auto" on the front of your Compaq monitor. This runs an automatic configuration utility designed to examine your current settings and adjust them to reach the best possible picture quality.

This utility will take only a few seconds and will adjust things like the sharpness, brightness and resolution of the image being displayed. Press the "Menu" button on the front of your Compaq monitor to adjust your monitor's screen settings manually in the event that the auto configuration utility has not done so to your liking.

Navigate to the "Picture" category of your Compaq monitor's on-screen menu to adjust settings like "Brightness" and "Sharpness." These settings can be useful if your monitor is displaying an image that is fuzzy or too dim.

Use the "Color" setting to adjust the amount of red, green and blue that your monitor displays. These settings can be useful if your monitor is displaying too much of one color or not enough of another.

Use the "Default" menu option to reset your Compaq monitor to its original factory settings. This changes any settings you have altered back to the way they were set when the monitor left the Compaq factory

hope this helps

Lg flatron w1943tb color fades in and out to a blue green

Follow the following solutions, this should fix up your trouble
1. Turn yourmonitor on. It should be on for at least 20 minutes before you continue.
2.Press the"Auto/Select" button on the front of your computer's monitor. Thescreen will be wavy while the adjustment happens. When the screen stops beingwavy, the faded colors should no longer be visible.
Follow steps 1 and 2 if you do not have a disk for the monitor.

I was cleaning the bottom of the screen and hit the color. Now it is blue and very hard to look at. I am at work, so I need this fixed

There should be a button that pulls up a menu to adjust color/contrast/ bright, etc. Press it and go through the menu options by either repeatedly pressing the menu button, or by using up-down-right left arrows. Adjust your colors using these options, or if available, try "auto" adjust.
I don't know this particular monitor, and am no "expert", but these options should be available on virtually any LCD monitor. A final option, if adjusting these does not help, look at all the menu - settings. If you see "recall" or "restore" or "default" anywhere, try selecting that option.

Good luck

How to I improve the contrast. Black text tends to be too grey; and the light blue text tends to be too 'white'. I am straining my eyes, often, especially when I use Picasa in Google. I have either lost,...

Open the “Window Color and Appearance,” in the Color Scheme category, choose a “contrast settings.” Note: After making all changes to the Display settings, click on the Apply and Ok buttons to complete the adjustments, and restart the computer to finalize changes to take effect correctly. To "Fix" the (Resolution), click Display Settings; follow these steps: Adjust "resolution.” Click, Advanced Settings, select Properties, click on Drivers, “select to” Update Drivers; click “OK!” Part (2) To start, right click on Desktop screen, at the (top) of the menu, check see if the Graphic ™ Control Center is visibly present? If so, click to open; you can adjust the Graphic Settings. Click “OK” when finished!

My monitor's color is mixed with the color yellow

There is an option on the monitor to reset colour to factory default. Just bring up the on screen menu by pressing the left most button at the botton. Use the button next to this to highlight the colour settings which I think is the 5th or next to last option down. You will then see the option to reset colour and various other factory default settings. Happy computing

Colors are off after auto adjust

I seem to have found the solution (and the cause, perhaps?) for this problem!

I was having the EXACT same problem with a monitor I'm repairing for a friend. The capacitors on the power supply board were blown (CapXon capacitors, who'd've guessed), which was keeping it from powering up. After replacing the capacitors, the screen worked beautifully. But it had this weird yellow tint!

The strange part was that pure colors - red, green, blue - all appeared perfectly OK on screen. Curiously, the menus would show in the proper colors, except for one: the manual color adjustment menu, which illustrated "Blue" as a sort of off-green in the icon. Auto-Adjust would always fix the colors for a split second, then go back to yellow. Reset didn't fix it. Color reset didn't either. So, exactly the same problem as above.

The solution I found was hidden within the main menu itself, a sort of "easter egg". Hold the Menu button down while pressing Power, and hold it down until the screen, and menu, appear. There will now be a hidden selection, "Auto Color", printed in a red-on-black font at the bottom of the menu. Use the +/- buttons to access it, and press Menu. Voila! PERFECT COLOR! Perhaps this menu was accessed by accident, and calibrated to an incorrect color key. But now my picture works great, and the setting lasts through Auto-Adjusts and Resets!

Hope this helps some people, it sure saved my ****! ;)
