How do I set dial tone on line 3?

If you mean for line 3 to be selected when you pick up the handset, you need to program that as the "prime line" for that set.

I am trying to program a button on my Norstar

the access code is the number you dial to access an outside line like 9 or 81 etc.
To program a button to access a certain line pool, press feature *3 press the button you want to be the line pool access button then press feature 64 and the pool access code. ex. feature 649 or feature 6481

Check with you telephone service provider to ensure you still have the service. Customer service can help you. Caller ID is provided by the phone company.

"Set unavailable" error received when I tried to Set Copy on Norstar M7310 phone

Are you sure you have the correct extension number for the destination? I may be more than "not progammed correctly" - perhaps it isn't the ext# you think it is. Try Feature*0 then all the keys, especially the line keys, which should give you the extension number.

How do I turn off the auto attendant on my Norstar M7310?

It depends. Go into feature 983, default pwd of 1020000 for 3-digit extensions. Go into AA, Table, Table 1, and change the option for the AA to N. If you're using a CCR tree, you'll have to go into Table 1 and disable the tree under Morn CCR and all the CCRs that follow.

Night feature at reception set or set that you put night service on go Feature #87. For delete of mailbox Feature 983 enter password which should be 1020000 if 3 digit extension numbers or 120000 if 2 digit extensions. Then press mbox then del enter extension number then press del.

How do I activate a line on a Nortel system to set up a mbox without a telephone extension?

Hi!
All phones that are plugged into the system are automatically assigned an extension. This is a good thing, and it keeps life simple. When you have a specific line assigned to a phone, all it means is that you have the phone programmed to appear and ring on that particular phone set.
In short, find out your extensions number by pressing feature * 0 intercom. That will be the extension that you put in to add the mailbox to that phone.
Now, I am assuming that you are using a voice mail system. If you are not, then you can have your phone service provider set you up with an external voice mail on a particular line.

you probably do not subscribe to have caller id, call your service company or telephone company. In larger systems a T-1 with a D Channel is needed to send clid

How do I fix a no line selected on m7310?

That means you have no lines associated with your set have your administrator do a set copy from a phone that has lines on it. Try intercom 9 for now to see if that works
