Fix Drip in Steam Wand for Starbucks Saeco Barista

To fix a dripping steam wand: First empty the water tray and unplug the unit. Then remove the six metal tapping screws from back of unit. The back lifts off as there is a flange at the top to hold on the metal cover. For some reason, the bottom two screws have lock washers. On the steam wand there is a recessed set screw that may be removed with an Allen wrench to open the steam wand. The steam wand stem twists out. Inside and stuck in the unit rather than the stem is a pin with a white plastic washer on it. I removed that, cleaned out the unit and the plastic washer. I found that q-tips worked best. I then reassembled after cleaning various parts. Watch the flange when putting the metal cover onto the back of the unit. Voila! No drip.

Saeco Xelsis service door error

HELLO, I just found out that the door error might be caused by a sensor not realizing the magnet at the plastic cover. You can either change the magnet or simply "power it up" by another magnet. The magnet is located on the plastic top/cover. Hope this is helpful.

I have a saeco royal my machine is grinding beans but will not stop

Your question is not right. Grinder stops on its own in 16 to 18 seconds (times out). It may not be grinding beans an spinning free because the beans are not feeding. You may have used oily beans or set the grind fineness at very fine powder like. This powder like fineness also clogs the grinder.. You need to clean the grinding chamber and the ground coffee outlet. Btw, I’m available to help over the phone in case u need at https://www.6ya.com/expert/edward_bbd2c7ff4ee1828a

Saeco vienna plus machine coffee comes out not as strong as from non automatic machine. Tried with beans quantity, grinding -no change. looks like some coffee strength left in the puck.Any solution?

i don't know. using the same liquid volume, please consider running 3 fresh cups of white vinegar through the machine without putting in a puck.. it may just be that the hot water is being directed and restricted to one side of the puck because of a build up of lime. also, your owner's manual may offer other ideas about cleaning or flushing.

The message says coffe beans

After a tons of browsing and debugging finally I got the real solution to my similar problem with a Saeco Minuto HD8763 coffee machine: the root cause was a bad hall sensor and a weak magnet at the grinder toothwheel (the left magnet whcih was removed from it's original place). The upper one was okay and down under there is the replacement magnet which I made from a piece of HDD neodymium magnet and glued to fix it. The original hall sensor was marked as "210k 3491" ("HAL506K" based on some other service manuals) and the new one was a cheap non-smd but same size, unipolar "TLE4905" type. replace-magnet-hoey1jvz3uhc2z5y4gktfnry-3-0_2.jpg

Saeco Model D.A. 8P Standard/Instant Beverage

Sassy-Pants-
I have some experience with Saecos. I have had your problem many times.

To start with, Saecos (5Ps, 7Ps, and 8Ps) error out if they don't get a signal from the dosser that it is full within 14 seconds of beginning to grind. If I were troubleshooting your machine, I would look at these 2 things first, before all else:
1. Is the grinder running at the proper speed? If you don't hear any difference, it's probably OK. But if the machine has a lot of coffees on it (say more than 20,000) you might take a look at the burr rings to see if they are worn or caked with coffee oils. They should feel pretty sharp (not nearly enough to cut you, but well defined) to the touch as you run your finger around the ring. And the color should be uniform- brass colored- if the rings are still useable. Also, the brushes could be shot if the machine has say 50,000 coffees on it. As far as I know, the only solution to worn brushes is to replace the grinder. The good news is that the new grinder will come with new burr rings.

2. The dosser. More than likely the solution is that the dosser needs to be cleaned, especially if you are using a dark roast coffee. Take it off and clean it carefully with a degreaser (Greased Lightening). Keep at it until all of the coffee dust and oils are gone. Be very careful not to crinkle the metal foil or to immerse the switch or solenoid. Also, are either of the 2 return springs broken? Replace if necessary. Finally, the dosser switch may be either dirty, out of adjustment, or deffective. You should be able to press very gently with your finger on the foil, pressing it against the dosser switch arm. There should be an audible "click" on AND off as you press and release with your finger.
I would like to hear from you if you find this helpful.
