Saeco coffee machine with a red blinking exclamation point light won't make coffee, how do I fix it?

When the red exclamation point is flashing slow, something is not where it is supposed to be, bean hopper lid, door, brew mech, water tank empty, dregs box or water tray on dregs container is full. If the red exclamation point is flashing quickly, open the steam valve for pump priming. If pump turns on, and water passes correctly, the light should go off and return to heating stage. If not, we have a blockage or a pump that is not working correctly.

Flashing dregdrawer and descaling lights

Descaling helps, but right answer is grinder is stuck. Power down, restart, let it run its start up cycle. before you hit the coffee brew button, use a magnet in place of the coffee bean lid. this will trick it that I has a lid on it, then grab a 10mm socket with extension and ratchet. You will click the coffee brew button while turning the grinder counter clockwise immediately with the 10mm socket right after you click the button or same time if you can manage. Turning the ratchet quick enough for it to slide off as it the grinder starts to spin on its own. I did this twice, kind of a kick start to the grinder. it will dislodge whatever is blocking it and BAM, complete. The pump will not work if the grinder is not spinning to brew a coffee. so you have to jumpstart the grinder, grind the beans, tamp it and then the pump runs water through it.

Saeco Odea Giro : Water tank problem

The only thing I can think of is the reed switch on the back of the panel that checks the water level. If there is a float in the water tank check what level it is when it calls for refill, it might be in backwards, or the magnet has moved.

Odea giro plus gear that drives the brew group has broken 3 times

First, you're going to need to get the brew group out. Check this out to get the brew group out. You need to remove a screw and pull unless you're really crafty. This video will help. After that: a) Yes, lubing will help. b) Replace the o-ring on the piston in the brew group (it should be orange). It gets old and gummy creating resistance. c) Reinforce the weak plastic that gets over-torqued. I own three of these units, one from 2007 (made in Italy, never broke, has tens of thousands of brews) and two newer units (made in Eastern Europe, fewer brews, both broke). I can distinguish the newer ones because they have a "sleep mode". They really overtorque the gear. I tried repairing with just glue and that lasted (surprisingly) several months. I tried again by using a thick paperclip as a drill bit and that lasted 7 months. Now with the holes piloted, I drilled a little wider and put in heavier metal from a heavy-duty binder clip. Cheap and very strong! Let's see how long this lasts. See before and after pictures. This metal won't bend! saeco 1-s3l51ixtlnjbpncvr5acfykc-1-0.jpg saeco 2-s3l51ixtlnjbpncvr5acfykc-1-2.jpg saeco 3-s3l51ixtlnjbpncvr5acfykc-1-5.jpg saeco 4-s3l51ixtlnjbpncvr5acfykc-1-9.jpg saeco 5-s3l51ixtlnjbpncvr5acfykc-1-14.jpg saeco 6-s3l51ixtlnjbpncvr5acfykc-1-20.jpg saeco 7-s3l51ixtlnjbpncvr5acfykc-1-35.jpg saeco 8-s3l51ixtlnjbpncvr5acfykc-1-44.jpg saeco 9-s3l51ixtlnjbpncvr5acfykc-1-54.jpg saeco 10-s3l51ixtlnjbpncvr5acfykc-1-77.jpg

Saeco Odea Giro nozzle blocked.

First, I'm Not a Saeco Representative, though I have worked on some Saeco machines. ** Most cases of one side not dispensing coffee is usually coffee that has dried and built up over time to coat the least used spout. This is caused by the machine not being flushed or cleaned daily. ** Follow the MFR's daily cleaning instructions to keep you unit operating properly. ** fill a glass up of water to the rim and place on drain tray. the water in the cup should be even with the glass lip all around the cup. If it's leaning to one side then your machine (or table it on) needs to be level in order for the spout to dispense evenly. Another way to check is to place 2 shot glasses under each spout and brew a double shot. Both should fill at the same time and be the same amount when finished. ** Check your MFR's kit to see if there is a small brush to allow for nozzle cleaning. Otherwise follow the cleaning instructions and do multiple cleanings to get rid of the coffee residue. Once cleaned you need to maintain a regular cleaning schedule. ** There are no serviceable parts in these small home machines. Suggest contacting your vendor or Saeco for service or replacement. Low steam pressure

Hi, you have to put a litle quantity of vinegar about one botlle and rinse it trouuth hot water knob and then refill the water tank with fresh water and rinse it all water. That must help you. Instead of vinegar you can use liquid for descaling if you have.

Hi, I've got a saeco odea giro plus. 3 weeks old,

Hello,
Look at the brewing group where the top strainer is. The small holes are blocked with coffee. The water can not pass through them.
You will need to unfold the two screws at the top and then remove the strainer, grow and clean it and clean it if the holes are blocked.
Do this only

Coffee beans are not going into grinder.

Your grinder is probably blocked. It may happen if your coffee is greasy or oily. Try to empty the coffee bin and using your vacuum cleaner, removed has much as possible the grounded coffee around the grinder. Also, from the inside, look where the coffee grind should drop from the grinder to the brewer unit and removed any grind that could block and prevent coffee to drop.

Coffee not brewing after grinding

After grinding did you hear the brew group goes up and pump start? If you hear the pump start and stopped, itis blockage in the brewunit metal screen. Just needs cleaning.
If you don't hear the pump starting, the problem is with the faulty micro switch inside the gearbox , that is behind the plate of brewunit.(service center job)
