Error message 0xf0af8005 and green and orange flashing lights

Please follow these instructions to reset the printer. If that doesn't work, try again but wait longer before reconnecting. Otherwise, here's the home support page for your machine. You can look up the meaning of the flashing lights there as well.

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.

Carriage jammed

Hi,

Is this the first time, you are working on your printer to remove Carriage Jam....

Follow the below steps :-

Follow these steps to clear a paper jam from the product. It might not be necessary to complete all the steps. Step one: Remove any loose paper Remove any loose paper from the input tray, the output tray, and the automatic document feeder (ADF). CAUTION: Do not remove jammed paper at this stage. Step two: Clear the jam from the back of the All-in-One CAUTION: To avoid mechanical damage, remove jammed paper only from the back of the product with the power cord disconnected. Do not remove jammed paper from the front of the product. Press the Power button 947b5e8.gif to turn off the product, and then turn it around to access the back of the product.
  1. Disconnect the power cord from the back of the product.
  2. Open the rear access door by pressing in on the left side tab and then pulling the door toward you. Figure 1: Remove the rear access door

  1. From the rear access door opening, remove the jammed paper. If printing labels, make sure that a label did not detach from the label sheet while passing through the printer. CAUTION: If the paper tears while removing it from the rollers, check the rollers and wheels for torn pieces of paper that might remain inside the product. If any torn pieces of paper remain inside the product, more paper jams are likely to occur.
Step three: Clean the rollers Before reattaching the rear door, follow these steps to clean the paper rollers to remove any debris, dirt, or paper scraps.
  1. Wipe the pressure rollers on the rear access door with a lint-free cloth lightly moistened with distilled or bottled water. Rotate the rollers with your fingers to clean all the way around.
  2. Allow the rollers to dry completely.
  3. Replace the rear access door. Align the pegs on the right side of the door, and then push the door forward until it snaps into place.
Step four: Clear the jam from the automatic document feeder (ADF)
  1. Disconnect the power cord from the product.
  2. Grasp the upper edge of the ADF assembly and open it. Figure 2: Open the ADF

Hp 4215v

Hello,

I would suggest that you disconnect the usb cable from the printer. Then, if the printer was previously installed and stopped working, uninstall all programs related to the printer through Add/Remove Programs or Programs & Features in the Control Panel.

After restarting the computer with the printer still disconnected you can follow the directions below to download the latest drivers.

To download the drivers you can go here. When the page opens you will need to choose your operating system. Then, from the Drivers section I would choose the full feature driver.

Once you click that, you will see a Install Now button that will allow you to immediately install the software and/or a Download Only button that will allow you to download the file for later installation.

Either option will have a link below them that says View Directions which can be used to get step by step instructions for installation of the drivers.

Hope this helps. Please remember to rate this information.
Thanks

Office jet all in one printer 4215

If you are using speed dial to dial the fax number, the HP Officejet
might be dialing too fast or too soon. To solve this problem, try one
of the following:
Try manually dialing the fax number from the HP Officejet front
panel, or from an attached phone. For information, see send a
fax using monitor dialing
on page 43 or send a fax manually
from a telephone
on page 43.
Re-create the speed dial setting and insert some pauses. For
information, see create individual speed-dial entries on
page 56.
If your telephone line has a PBX system, make sure you are dialing
the number for an outside line before dialing the fax number.
The receiving fax machine might be having problems. To check this,
try calling the fax number from a telephone and listen for fax tones.
If you cannot hear fax tones, the receiving fax might not be turned
on or connected, or a voice mail service could be interfering with
the recipient’s phone line.

Cannot install hp software into brand new comp!!!!!!!

If you are using VIsta, you should get a UAC prompt that in order to elevate your privileges to install software and drivers. You need to click on Continue or, if it is asking for a username and password, you need to enter a username and password for an account on the computer that has administrative privileges.

Trying to install all in one printer onto new computer

You apparently do not have administrative access to the computer. If you are using XP, you will need to log out and log back in as a user that has administrative privileges on the computer. Under VIsta, you need to respond to the UAC prompt in order to install software drivers.
