Fuel pump is in the fuel tank, fuel tank will have to come out to replace fuel pump.

its built into the ecm located right in the middle of he firewall from under the hood, big black box with two plugs.

there is a mark on the crank for timing. If you have a timing light hook that up and take like white chalk and put it on that mark. now while the car is running take your timing light and point it at the crank u will see the light flash fast now the object is to get the light to be on the chalk mark so what u do is have another person move the distributor until this happens. Or u can cheat and just start your car and move it until the miss is gone then MAKE SURE YOU TIGHTEN YOUR DISTRIBUTOR!!!! hope this helps

The easiest way is to start it up and remove the positive battery cable if the motor dies its your alternator. IMPORTANT RECONNECT THE CABLE WITH THE MOTOR OFF

Check for melted wires around dis. and ign. module at the fire wall and at the intake manifolds.

Check the starter solenoid.

ON THE FIREWALL NEAR THE DISTRIBUTOR, SEE PHOTO, IF U CAN'T SEE THE PHOTO GO TO ROCKAUTO.COM AND HAVE A LOOK AT THERE PITURES.

My story Dealing with Dodge

I had a 1994 Dodge Ram. The Red Dodge Ram I had it malfunctioned and my brake became the throttle. I had to put the truck in reverse then park. to stop, after it was out of control at 80 mph a hill slowed us down. Are you sure its not electrical and the curse control is not giving you trouble? Mine had multifunction switch was not working and the headlight switch burned up. I also found out that Audi had problem with the brake becoming the throttle in the 1980s Daimler Chrysler and Audi were German made. I don't think there is an easy answer. I hope you stay safe. Another man is having strange trouble also. I'm sure there are many more people with trouble with the vehicles. I wish Dodge would step up to the truth. and recall their nightmares. I saw many of their 1996 Dodge trucks at their dealers shop with all the electrical pulled out.

If it runs at highway speeds then I doubt it's fuel filter. I'd check the operation of the idle speed motor. Here's a link to a diagram so you'll know what to look for & what to do. just scroll down to your engine (fig# 2 ) & click on small picture to expand it.

YOU MAY HAVE AN ENGINE THERMOSTAT STUCK OPEN AND/OR THE PCM COOLANT TEMP GROUNDED.

It should be underhood, driver side on upper firewall, it does not look like a typical ignition module, but I looked around and for your info, you can find a picture of it on autzone.com Hope this helps.

Sounds like the fuel pump is going out. Its inside the tank. But first see if the fuel pump is clooged. take it off and see if its plugged. Check fuel pressure if you can. should be 45-55 psi

If you talking about obd connection on driver's side near hood release

Most accessory drive belts have an idler pulley that tensions the belt. The idler pulley either has s 1/2 inch square drive hole or some other way to apply force to counteract the spring. Identify the idler pulley and push it in the direction to loosen the belt, then remove it.
