Doesn't print all colors- the carriage seems to

Please check the cartridge, the ink is there or not. If the ink is there please check the printer properties and check the color settings.

Carriage stall.. clear carriage obstruction and press resume...

Hi there maximum time we found it is a the head problem. The print head is what the cartridges sit in inside of the printer. For resolve the problem please follow these.

Open the printer and wait for the carriage to slide over. Some how if its not come then Unplug the printer & Manually slide the carriage.
Now Remove the ink cartridges from the print head & Use wet warm cotton swab or use alcohol to thoroughly clean the print head.
Repeat this until there is no ink residue coming off on the cotton swab. After finished it make the head dry then fix it back. Now Try to print something now

If that does not work then follow the next step.

Remove the printer data cable & restart the PC & printer. Then fit back the data cable & turn on the printer. Hope that's start working , if no luck then Uninstall the printer driver & restart the PC & Printer both again. Now install the driver of the printer and connect it with PC ,Turn on printer & go for a test print from the printer preference. Thanks & waiting for your reply.

I have inkjet cp1700 print the first paper balnk

I would bet you have it setup to print a seperator page between jobs. On your printer properties click on the advanced tab and then the seperator button, make sure it is cleared or not selected. Also make sure the program you are printing from doesn't insert a seperator page.

There are a few other things that can cause this. Such as a word processor having a page break or new page command before the text. These are hidden so you don;t see them but you get a blank then the text.

And once in a while it may be the driver isn't quite the correct one. Make sure it is current and the one for your model. On one printer the driver that behaved was the old original one but none of the newer ones downloaded from the company.

Anyway that has been what I have run across that will cause this.

I'm not sure if this is a printer driver problem

So your printing to a network IP port? I don't this the setup is the problem if the computers see this printer as a network printer. I believe this to be a driver problem. I would try either a 5e or genric driver of some type. I'm not sure what type of printer this is so...

My hp cp1700 printer 'squeeks' when printing.

Be careful about where you put it, but I like to use a regular ordinary 3 in 1 machine oil. The rack itself is lubed with a form of grease, its composition is not known. I have used the oil everywhere else.

I don't put much into the printer when they start having issues, as it is cheaper (usually) to replace them. Interesting society that we live in now.

I downloaded from HP the

Maybe if you go to the control panel, then click on printers. It will show your printer, highlight it and then right click, there will be some more choices for printing. That might help.
Also on their HP website there used to be an option for it to analyze your printer for the correct drivers.
Hope this helps, they can be frustrating.
