No reverse on drill.

I am assuming the new switch was wired correctly, I would look for the pin or similar device that switches it from for/rev. If your switch has a post look at the slider and make sure not broke or your pin not put in rightt position. Let me know

Black and Decker corded drill won't tighten around a bit.

the chuck sounds like it is bad or maybe stuck from rust, what you can try and do is spray some WD-40 on the jaws and then try and holding the collar with a glove and run the drill SLOWLY in forward/reverse and see if it loosens up if not you will need a new one.

I can't find how to put the drill into reverse!

The actuator should be on the top of the drill. if your holding the drill it is on top toward the front, moves left and right to change directions.

It is not worth trying to get batteries for this , the whole thing costs £10 in the UK, which is less than you would get the batteries on their own.

My client has a drill press BDDP100 Type 1 - broken chuck

McMaster- Carr ships every where. www.mcmaster.com

There is probably a Grainger location in south Florida, they would ship any where you want.  www.grainger.com

There are a few different tapers used on drill chucks but they are pretty standardized: you don't need the black and decker part, you just need a standard chuck of the correct taper. try to get a basic Jacobs chuck they will last much longer than the one it came with.

How do i change the drill bit

Put the key in and turn counter clockwise. If the drill got wet some rust may have formed. Sometimes those chucks get real tight. A small tube (cheater) that is longer than the key will give more torque
to loosen the chuck. Slide the tube over one of the key shafts. You can spray a bit of penetrating oil around the chuck gears.

Trying to mount blinds in kitchen, walls plaster

Is there a space between the back of the drywall and the stone? Or is the drywall tight to the stone? Either way, you need a masonry bit, I hope you have one, a hammer drill would be real nice, but you can muscle through it without one. You can try a smaller bit as your first cut , then go to the next size. Makes it a lot easier to drill. If there was a space behind the drywall, they make all kinds of fasteners for drywall only, they will hold quite a bit, but might not be enough for blinds that are going to be yanked on.

Circuit diagram for charger for Black & Decker

You can contact a Dewalt Service Center to see if they have the diagram. Black and Decker is Dewalts lower priced line. A quick search on their website did not reveal anything. They may not have the diagram. As far as I know there are no parts available for the chargers so you may have a hard time locating the diagram. Try giving Dewalt a call.

How do I attach the drill bit to the chuck on a ss

Well I couldn't find a pix of your drill so I will guess that it is a typical drill. You seem to be asking a very basic question so I will start will all the basic info I can think of.

First you have to know where the power trigger is to make it go.

2nd you have to know where the forward and reverse switch is.

Now with the switch in the forward position squeeze the trigger to make it go. Then gently grab the chuck with your hand while it is going and the center Jaws should close up and come out of the chuck.

Now with the switch in the reverse position squeeze the trigger to make it go. Then gently grab the chuck with your hand while it is going and the cetner Jaws should open up and go into the chuck to a maximum point

Open the jaws enough to put the drill in the jaws then put the switch in the forward position. Put the drill in the chuck, sqeeze the trigger to make it go, and hold the chuck so the jaws close on the drill. All while keeping the drill from falling out of the chuck.

When it closes on the drill and the drill is in straight then hold the chuck as tight as you can while squeezing the trigger to make the jaws close very tightly on the drill. If you have very tender hands you might want to use gloves.

To get the drill out put the switch in reverse, hold the chuck very tightly, and squeeze the trigger to open the jaws off of the drill.

What is the output of the charger for the B&D

The output power will be higher the the battery itself, a 14.4V will be up around 16-18 Vdc. an 18 V will be 20-21 Vdc. Now this is if your testing it with a multi meter and it is not under a load.
