Throttle free play should be about 5mm of "free play" movement at the throttle twist grip.
Check this in all positions while turning the bars fully to the left and right.
It should always have "free play"

The vin plate is located usually on the head stock of the frame.
This is the section that the forks attach to.
You should be able to turn the bars fully to the left and look into the gap behong the forks on the frame on the right.

Sounds like either a blocked oil pick up.
This starves the top end for oil hence when you rev it the light comes on.
When was the last time you changed the oil?
Sludge builds up if oils arnt changed regularly and block the oil pick up strainer.
Put 500mls of diesel fuel I to the engine and run it until up to running temperature.
Then dump the oil whilst it's hot.
The diesel will break down the sludge and allow it to run out easier.

Just buy and have installed a Data tool alarm or a Meta alarm these are fault proof units I've installed both for many years ...3rd option a 2way wirless bike alarm .which became more ..and more popular ... Can you check it with an other battery if its was once under the 3 volts the battery is not good anymore. I think the battery had his best time.

IN WHAT Country , they sell this not just in UK. and they all do not have the same tank. some are 5.2Gallons. ok moved you out of computers,. to Motorcycles and deleted you email , do not post your email in public unless 1000 spams a day for 100 years is fun. or far far worse. (then then phish you and bam) not sure the question so will answer both. 1: mpg wrong, 2; WHAT IS THE RESERVE gallons missing in the book. ok MC 101 Are motorcycles new to you ,(ive owned too many to count) back to 1965 in fact, even had a real Triumph TR6 car (pure love there) OK MPG:? 865cc twin. guessing 35mpg. 45mpg on long trips. 2.5 gallons . EFI injection no EFI fuel pump likes running dry, so I bet dollars to donuts they don't make that easy. This the early warning light. (just like modern cars) never run one dry. the pump is fuel cooled and fuel lubricated, is why. that is all on fuel . tell what is the problem, your post is only a hint. ok? good luck, and ride safe.

Sounds like an ignition module is going open after warming up. Check for spark after it is warm and doesn't run.

Are you sure the disks are not being damaged while doing a tyre change? 5000 miles is around a tyre change. Rotors get bent when breaking down the tyre bead on tyre machines. Quite a common problem.

You can use a bridge rectifier to do this. Connect each side (left to one and right to the other) to one of the AC inputs on the bridge rectifier. A small 1 amp 100v rectifier will suffice for a LED. Then connect the LED to the plus and minus connections of the rectifier. Make sure the plus side of the rectifier goes to the anode side of the LED.

WIll the bike idle ok? .. or does the idle tend to "float" around before settling down? (Valves are too tight).. if the are way too loose.. it might not rev..but it would be clicking like (*%$)*_!!!!Carb sync must be perfect... double check ignition timing and spark plug wire routing! Maybe time to take it to a professional..

Yes they are plugged if they have any ethanol fuel in the fuel system and the fuel system had no stabilizer added. The fuel system will need cleaning

Go to a Triumph dealer and give him the VIN number. He should be able to get you a replacement set of keys. Most vehicle manufacturers are able to do this.

You will have to check for a spark at the spark plugs. Put a known good plug into one of the spark leads and turn the engine over. You should have a good spark every revolution or so. If not, then either the ignition module or coil or crankshaft position sensor has failed. Of course, check all fuses first if no spark. If you have a good spark, and the bike was not lying up un-used (gas gone off) then I have come across worn cam chains jumping over the cam sprockets and upsetting engine timing. Rare enough and only in poorly maintained bikes. Remember, an engine needs three things, gas, compression and spark. All in the right order of course (engine timing).

Hi, I assume it's the main fuse to or from the battery? Check for a loose connection at the fuse holder. At each point of the wires opposite to the fuse. Also if it is a blade type fuse holder, it's possible that the fuse is loose.(not a good tight fit) An in line fuse

Check the multiplug connector, disconnect, spray with contact / switch cleaner and reconnect correctly.
