This car is 15 years old. Personally, I have never heard of a vehicle that would do that. Try to find another vehicle that is newer. Nobody wants to get another vehicle, but it would be better than putting up with this problem.

start by changing the fuel filter and get a tune up done

Try testing the starter solenoid and the relay.

You need to remove the window rail as well.

The ECU is not reading the chip in the key. Replacing the ECU will not solve the problem. It is an input issue(signal to ECU) not an output issue ( signal from ECU). Perform an OBDII scan of stored fault history. Probably an ignition switch problem.

There is no fuel reset button. What kind of testing have you done? Engine cranking, did you check for spark at the spark plugs? Is there a fuel injector pulse? Any applicable trouble codes? If your missing everything, I'd check the cam and crank sensors. If you have narrowed it down to only the fuel system, we can go that way.

take it to an auto electrician and have all the ground wires checked out what you describe is a loose /broken wire that moves after the bump and cuts off a circuit moving what ever you move is moving something and making the circuit good again

yes, tacho also runs off that sensor. I trust you disconnected the battery before you pulled the starter? If not you may have fried a module or 2 and possibly even the computer.

Check the seat cushion sensor wiring first, also contact Chrysler to see if any Technical service bulletins (TSB's) may be out for this issue, you will need that airbag fault code when you call as well as your Vehicle VIN

Check pin #16 on the diagnostic connector for power (battery voltage) See diagram below.

This is the classic symptom of a failed reverse clutch pack, sorry you will need an overhaul.

Try some W-D 40 or graphite . You can find the graphite where you have keys made . See if that helps ,if not may need to replace the lock cylinder . Or still it could have a locking mechanism inside . Safety device !

Generally you need to go to a dealer, but I noticed that Walmart now sells replacement keys with the chip and can program them. you might try there.

Tighten it up using 2 spanners as tight as you can .

before you drill it tap the end of the lock cylinder where the key goes in with the handle end of a large screwdriver. try different levels of force and then insert the key and try to turn. 90% of the time you can get the lock cylinder to turn with this method. the key needs to be in the accessory position to release the lock mechanism that holds the lock cylinder in place. You should be able to see the lock button on the underside of the column with the trim panels removed. This piece can be drilled out a lot easier than the lock cylinder. A good center punch and a small bit to start and then increase the bit size until most of it is removed. You can then use a pick to remove the rest of the button and the lock cylinder will slide out. You can't bypass the chip. You'll have to get a key from the dealer.
