My 12" Milwaukee Miter saw is making a noise when braking?
Screeching is always caused by dry metal on metal. It need oil on anything that spins or slides. See if the brake actually has fibre pads like the disc brakes on your vehicle.

My hitachi c10fs miter saw wont turn blade, can hear motor engage,,dont know if it is the elec. brake
If you can hear the motor engaging but the blade is not turning, there could be several possible reasons for this issue. Here are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the problem:
Check the power supply: Make sure the saw is properly plugged in and the outlet is functioning. You can also try plugging the saw into a different outlet to see if that makes a difference.
Check the blade: Make sure the blade is properly seated and tightened on the arbor. If the blade is loose, it may not spin properly.
Check the belt: If your miter saw is belt-driven, check the belt to make sure it is not loose or broken.
Check the motor: If the motor is running but the blade is not turning, it could be a problem with the motor. Check to make sure the motor is properly connected to the blade and that the motor is running smoothly.
Check the electrical brake: If your miter saw has an electric brake, it may be malfunctioning. You can check this by unplugging the saw and removing the blade. Then, turn the saw on and see if the brake engages. If it doesn't, the brake may need to be replaced.
If none of these troubleshooting steps solve the problem, it may be best to take your saw to a professional for repair.
How do i fix my bosch 3915 compound miter it makes a grinding sound when it slows down
If your Bosch 3915 compound miter saw is making a grinding sound when it slows down, it could be an indication of a few different issues. Here are a few things you can try to fix the problem:
Clean the saw blade: A dirty saw blade can cause the saw to make a grinding sound. Use a brush or compressed air to remove any debris or sawdust from the blade.
Check the blade for damage: A damaged or worn blade can cause the saw to make a grinding sound. Check the blade for any chips or missing teeth, and replace the blade if necessary.
Check the bearings: The bearings on the saw's motor and blade can wear out over time, causing a grinding sound. Try to move the blade side to side to check for any play or looseness. If the bearings are worn, they will need to be replaced.
Check the motor brushes: The motor brushes on the saw can also wear out and cause a grinding sound. Check the brushes for wear and replace them if necessary.
Lubricate the saw: Lack of lubrication can cause the saw to make a grinding sound. Use a lubricant designed for power tools to lubricate the blade and other moving parts of the saw.
If none of these steps solve the problem, it's best to take your saw to a professional for repair. Grinding sounds can be an indication of serious issues, and it's important to address them before they cause further damage to your saw
My Hitachi C10FS compound miter saw runs very unsteady. Power cuts in and out constantly. I just changed the switch and installed new brushes I
If your Hitachi C10FS compound miter saw is running unsteadily and the power cuts in and out constantly even after installing a new switch and brushes, there may be a few possible reasons for this issue:
Loose or damaged connections: Check all the electrical connections in the saw to ensure that they are properly connected and not damaged. Loose or damaged connections can cause intermittent power cuts.
Faulty power cord: The power cord could be damaged or have a loose connection, which can cause the power to cut in and out. Inspect the power cord carefully, and if necessary, replace it with a new one.
Faulty motor: If the motor is faulty or damaged, it can cause the power to cut in and out. You may need to have the motor repaired or replaced.
Electrical interference: If the saw is being used in an environment with high levels of electrical interference, this can cause the power to cut in and out. Try moving the saw to a different location to see if this resolves the issue.
If you have checked all of these potential issues and the problem persists, it may be best to take your saw to a professional for further diagnosis and repair.

My proxxon ks 230 table saw died when i pushed the wood i was cutting a bit harder against the blade. Is there a fix?
If your Proxxon KS 230 table saw stopped working after pushing the wood harder against the blade, it's possible that the saw's motor may have burned out or the blade may have been damaged or come loose. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try to diagnose and fix the issue:
- Check the power supply: Make sure that the saw is plugged in and that the outlet is functioning properly. If the saw is connected to an extension cord, try plugging it directly into a wall outlet.
- Inspect the blade: Check the saw blade for any signs of damage, such as chipped or missing teeth. Make sure that the blade is securely fastened to the arbor and that the arbor nut is tightened properly.
- Check the motor: If the blade and power supply appear to be functioning properly, the motor may be the issue. Check the motor for any signs of damage or burning, such as a burning smell or discoloration. If the motor appears to be damaged, it may need to be replaced.
- Contact the manufacturer: If you're unable to diagnose or fix the issue on your own, consider contacting the manufacturer or a professional repair service for assistance.
Please note that working with power tools can be dangerous, and it's important to take appropriate safety precautions when troubleshooting and repairing equipment. Always wear appropriate protective gear and follow all manufacturer instructions and guidelines.

Disassemble and clean perfex pepper grinder
The small, approximately 1/4" long spring goes on the very bottom on the grinding shaft, on the outside, just before you put the nut on. There is a small gap between the inside of the nut and outside of the shaft that the spring fits into (hard to see, but it's there). Add the spring, then the nut and screw it on carefully by hand (so that you don't strip the threads). You can then adjust the grind by turning the nut. The farther you tighten the nut the finer the grind will be.
CCW Wiring for LR63420 Model D Motor
Yes, it is possible to reverse the rotation of the LR63420 Model D motor from CW (clockwise) to CCW (counterclockwise). Here's how to do it:
- Turn off the power supply to the motor.
- Remove the motor cover to access the motor terminals.
- Identify the two wires connected to the start winding of the motor. These wires are usually marked with the letter "S".
- Swap the positions of these two wires. For example, if wire A is connected to terminal 1 and wire B is connected to terminal 2, then disconnect wire A from terminal 1 and connect it to terminal 2. Then disconnect wire B from terminal 2 and connect it to terminal 1.
- Reinstall the motor cover.
- Turn on the power supply and test the motor to see if it is now spinning in the desired CCW direction. If not, repeat steps 3-5, making sure to swap the correct wires.
Note: Reversing the rotation of a motor may affect its performance and should only be attempted if you are experienced with electrical wiring and motor repair.

I have a Milwaukee 6390 circular saw. It keeps blowing a breaker even without an extension cord?
If your Milwaukee 6390 circular saw is tripping the circuit breaker even without an extension cord, it could be due to a few reasons:
- Overloaded circuit: The circuit may be overloaded with too many other electrical devices or appliances. Try unplugging other devices or turning off lights on the same circuit to see if that resolves the issue.
- Short circuit: A short circuit can occur when the insulation on the electrical wires inside the saw becomes damaged or frayed, causing them to come into contact with each other. This can cause a sudden increase in current flow, which can trip the circuit breaker. Check the saw's power cord for any visible damage or wear, and consider having it professionally inspected if you suspect a short circuit.
- Faulty circuit breaker: It's possible that the circuit breaker itself is faulty or worn out. Try plugging the saw into a different circuit and see if it still trips the breaker. If it does, the issue may be with the saw itself.
- Motor overload: If the saw's motor is under strain or is overloaded, it can trip the circuit breaker. Check the blade for any binding or resistance, and ensure that the blade is sharp and properly aligned.
If none of these solutions resolve the issue, you may want to consider taking the saw to a professional repair shop to have it inspected and repaired.
