If you don't have a reboot disk, you can still reboot your computer. Here's how:
- Restart your computer.
- Press and hold the Ctrl+Alt+Delete keys at the same time.
- When the Windows Security screen appears, click Restart.
- Your computer will restart without a reboot disk.
If you remove batteries and hardware while tinkering with electronic devices, you might run into trouble down the line. Blackberry devices must be rebooted time and again, but you can reboot your Blackberry without removing the battery.

1. When you install a new program or have a system failure, you must reboot the Blackberry. This is the same concept used in larger desktop or laptop computers.
2. Hold off on using the new program by selecting "Later" instead of "Now" when you are prompted by the Blackberry. This will allow you to wait awhile to reboot your device, especially if you need to use it at the moment and can put off the new program installation.
3. Initiate what is known as a soft reboot by pressing and holding down the key combination of Alt+Cap+Backspace on the Blackberry keyboard. Using this method will also work when the device stalls and you see only the white arrow, but it refuses to move.
4. Note that certain Blackberry models are different and require you to press and hold the Alt+Cap+Delete key combination to reboot the Blackberry without removing the battery. Make sure your keypad is correct for using this method of soft reboot before attempting it. Blackberry makes several different models, and they all operate differently under soft-reboot conditions.
5. Reference your Blackberry manual. Make sure that the keypad soft reboot will work with the specific model you are using. Larger models are typically more prone to working with the aforementioned soft reboot. If this does not work, you will have to use a secondary method.
6. Check to see if you need to install an application for your phone that allows for a soft reboot. Many models, like the Pearl, allow you to download an application for soft reboot. These applications may prevent you from pulling the battery to reboot.
7. Try all the available methods, and if it still does not work, request assistance from your Blackberry dealer. She may know of an alternative or a firmware update for your device.

If you need to reboot, there sometimes a reboot button. Pressing and releasing it will cause the computer to reboot.
If there isn't a reboot button, press and hold the power button until the computer turns off. Release the button and press and release it to reboot the computer.
Rebooting from the Windows OS can be done y a variety of means, depending upon the version of the OS. Clicking the START button or pressing the Windows key on the keyboard will get you to the POWER option where you can select RESTART (which is a reboot).
If you are not in Windows at the time, you can usually press the CRTL-ALT-DEL combo and get a reboot. Lastly, press and hold the POWER button until the device fully shuts off. Wait a few seconds and then power back on to get a reboot.
Usually, the Reboot routine is done by holding down the Power ON/OFF button for a while (5 seconds or more) until it reboots. Don't be surprised if it takes a minute or so. Alternatively, consider using the RESET button ... then do the Reboot routine. Make sure your battery is well charged, remove the SD card, and hold the RESET (pin) down for 20 seconds or so (until the screen shuts off). Then do the Reboot routine.
If the iPad will not reboot using the standard "Hard Reboot" (holding the power button and home button until the iPad restarts.) then I would advise restoring the iPad using iTunes which will set it back to factory settings.
Remove the following one by one:
1. RAM. Reinsert and reboot.
2. HDD cable (both from the motherboard and from the HDD side). Reconnect and reboot.
3. Power cable from the mother board. reconnect and reboot.
4. Processor. Reinsert and reboot.
5. The 3 connectors from the front basel to the motherboard. Reconnect and reboot.
Hi, Most likely it is your hard drive. There is a boot sector on the hard drive and when xp starts it looks for that boot sector. If that boot sector is damaged xp can't find it so xp reboots again...and again...and... Try a different hard drive and see what happens.

This is due to the registry entries that are installed with Firefox. Any major changes to the system registry requires a reboot. However, a reboot in this case is not immediatelly necessary. You can ignore this error and reboot later if you are working on something, or close out all programs and reboot the computer.
