click download at ms.com?
NO PC stated at all. 1000's of models for over 3years
1985 to now.
we can't begin to guess what PC you own or country sold to.
After all PC's here in USA are not same world wide.
No symptoms stated.

the answer depends on many factors.
what OS will run on any random old PC.
W10 will not on most old ones.

the problem is 2 fold,
1: not known what OS is three now( could have been upgraded 4 times
2: nor knowing that 2 of the 4 are not sold not, just w7 and w10 are sold at ms.com and zero sold at Toshiba (only the most new are support) and Toshiba is junk class company now , that they
shut down their support forum (buy dell next time,ok?>)
3: also some older PC by them have this very tiny rechargeable battery that is bad and leaks chemicals and cascade damaged.
not the normal easy to fix coin cell but soldered down cells.
4: ;the HDD failures, are very common, for sure laptops,.
reloading any OS , we first test the HDD.
Or is hopeless to the extreme trying all week (no fun that)

The PC has service tag, find it and tell what data is on it.
we don't need the serial number here as we are not them.
model numbers and names full is what any tech needs first.

Im at Toshiba.com for you now.
sattlight (Satellite correct) has 100s of models.
first find this.
https://support.toshiba.com/sscontent?contentId=4007069

this is what they call question #1
here is nice wiki showing how the word satellite means so little
best one of 10 is this.... imo

Hi,

To install Windows 7 no need for RAID driver. If you face issues in installing Windows 7 disable RAID in BIOS, install Windows 7 and then install RAID driver.

You can use third party software to reset your password. There is a program called ATAPWD 1.2. You can find it on Hiren's Boot CD. After you download Hiren's, burn it on a disc and boot from the CD on start up. From menu, select Password Tools and then select Atapwd. After it starts up select the locked harddrive and press enter for the menu. Choose "unlock with user password", then "disable with user password". The password is empty, so just press enter at the prompt. If this didn't work: Choose "unlock with master password", then "disable with master password". The password is all spaces.

Others have been able to change the password in BIOS. Found this:

1. The HDD password cannot be removed using Security Assist.
2. Using SETUP BIOS (i.e. start machine; Hold Esc; Press F1), Tab to the HDD Password section which should be displayed as follows:
HDD Password
HDD = Built-in HDD
HDD Password Mode = USER Only
User Password = Registered
3. Tab to the "User Password" field and simply enter the old password and then a new one twice (once to verify) as one would do normally. If you don't want a password, just press "enter" twice

The quickest way to change the display output settings is to use the
display hot key (Fn + F5):
1 Press Fn and F5 simultaneously.
2 While holding down Fn, press F5 repeatedly until the setting
you want takes effect. Briefly pause each time you press the F5
key to allow time for the display to change.
This hot key cycles through the settings in the following order
(the last two options are available if an external monitor is
connected):
? Built-in display only
? Built-in display and external monitor (simultaneously)
? External monitor only
? Built-in display and TV (or other external video device)
? TV (or other external video device)
? External monitor and TV
? Built-in display and external monitor (extended mode)
? Built-in display and TV (extended mode)
? External monitor and TV (extended mode)
? Swap-Switch primary display between internal display
and external monitor when using extended desktop

page 202 lists all errors not one uses COIN word, is that a Typo? is coin = code? a double typo>?

either call a service tech.

All new Toshiba laptops ship from the factory with the ability to run the system recovery process from a hard disk partition, and with preinstalled software that can be used to record recovery media to blank discs. Toshiba recommends creating recovery media to ensure the ability to run a system recovery even if the hard disk recovery partition is damaged or deleted, or if the hard disk breaks. Reconditioned laptops may not include this recovery enabling software so may require that recovery media be purchased.

Recovery media can be ordered online. Click here to begin the order process. There is no charge for the software itself, for which customers already own licenses, and as of 10/1/10 the shipping and handling charges for delivery of recovery media in the US is $24.95 for DVD media or $34.95 for USB sticks.

10 year old manual English

LET ME GUESS,(WORST CASE)the cure.
fist ditch that dead huge relic battery keep it out. run on AC only, and win.

1: IN EUROPE (well not USA ) or where you are.
2: lost the toshiba CDrom install disk 12 or more years ago( marked VISTA Toshiba I bet)
3: hdd dead or missing or replaced and blank.
4: buy new HDD WORTH 10 TIMEs VALUE IF DEAD PC.
5; BUY a NEW OS media install kit NOW BROKE.or
5:cure is load free linux.
(i never advice pirate disks of any kind)

Toshiba Satellite L200-N400T?
there is always a dash numbered L200-nnnn
not all are the same, a fact for sure this topic
recovery.
newer models had recovery partitions.

the L300 is 2008
the L1oo is 2000 made
L200 , my guess 2007 made.

the L200 came with XP or vista and w7 is reported to fail installs on this pig.
so vista or linux works only. (or freedos)

why? (a tiny hint please?) first off the newest pCs, (or old if upgraded to UEFI status), by LAW now can not be downgraded.
no reason given. let me guess you upgraded and it fails. s o want to go back Only Toshiba can answer that, but wait they have no forum (toy grade PC?)
Buy Dell next time. there is all they have. (try TOMS) https://support.toshiba.com/support/navShell?cf=community_forum
