Audio output device

Hi.

The audio output device in your computer is the audio adapter board (or circuit). This is the device that produces sounds and send them to the speakers.

If you get a message telling you that there is no Audio Output Device detected, or that the Audio Device is not working, that usually means that there is a problem with the audio driver.

In that case the problem is often fixed downloading and reinstalling the drivers for your audio device. If there is a problem with the audio output device, go to the computer manufacturer website (e.g. Dell, HP, Sony etc.) and download the audio drivers for your specific model. When download is complete install the drivers and restart the computer.

Regards.

No sounds

Hi,
Try to check if you have installed an audio driver for your computer/laptop. You can see this under Device Manager.
Here's how to go there:
1) Right click My Computer.
2) Go to Manage
3) A window will appear. Click Device Manager.

If you see a yellow exclamation mark under Sound, Video and Game controller, that means that you have no driver installed for that corresponding device.

If that is the case, you should install a driver for your audio device in order for it to work. Your computer/laptop comes with a CD/DVD that contains all the drivers for your devices. If you can't find yours, try to search online for the audio driver of your computer/laptop.

Hope it helps!

I was running xp and recently switched to vista and speakers arent working, i cant seem to find a driver - help!!

hi there, when you installed vista, did you do a reformat, then install vista? If so, you will need to find your audio drivers. The easiest way is to go into device manager and look for a mixing device. If your system has the audio drivers, but not a mixing device, you will need to get a mixing device for your computer.
