SOURCE: parking brake safety bypass

If you have the old firmware then all you need to do is ground the parking brake wire

if you have the new firmware(just bought the system) a toggle switch is involved:
1 - connect e-brake wire from dvd unit to the switch
2 - connect a ground wire from switch to the unit chassis(any good metal grounding surface will do)
3 - pop in a dvd, toggle the switch back and forth 2 or 3 times depending on what wire you placed where...and voilaa!! your dvd system should work in motion!!

SOURCE: riding mower dies when releasing brake

the seat switch is the problem. the switch itself could be bad, but usually theproblem is that the connector is just not plugged in all the way [by the way, trying to bypass the switch by inserting the wire doesn't work because there is a "switch" inside the connector to prevent you from doing just what you did]

SOURCE: parking brake safety bypass

here is what you need to do is, get a toggle switch and hook one side to a ground and the other side to the parking brake wire on the unit.
use the switch as a brake because you have to set brake for a few seconds then release and set again but keep it on this time.
you will have to do this every time you start the car.

Pro z 148l EFI 2016 model cub cadet zero turn want turn over nothing happens when key is turned to start is there any other safety switch besides the lap bars and pto

ZTRs requires the following safeties for engine crank.

Park Brake ON
PTO OFF
Steering arms OUT
Operator in seat (this unit requires, not all)

If still no crank cycle all the safeties.

Arms IN/OUT
PTO ON/OFF
Park Brake ON/OFF
Rise from seat then firmly drop into seat.
Start

If still no crank, turn and hold start key in start position. Then with other hand twist the PTO switch knob in alternate directions (maintain off position). If engine cranks then PTO switch likely needs replaced.

If still no crank, set parking brake and jump starter solenoid to battery. If no crank, then starter or solenoid problem.

Else, you'll need to trace starter circuit. Begin at the key switch and check for battery voltage at the "S" pole (while key in start position). Then follow wiring through all the safety switches.

I replaced the ignition switch after my poulan mower stopped when I was mowing but wouldn't start back. Now it still won't start. What could it be?

there are at least 2, maybe 3 safety switches which wont allow riders to start while switch logic is not met.
1. rider seat (may or may not only be if parking brake is not set).
2. parking brake (see 1)
3 blade engage. meaning no start if blades are left engaged
if these 3 are met, you might try bypassing them (seat should be easiest to start with.

Engine disengages when brake is released.

If you are releasing the brake (parking brake I assume) and it immediately stops the engine....as if you turned the key off...then its a safety switch problem. Make sure you have both drive arms completely in the neutral position (depressing both switches) and the seat safety switch is plugged in properly and being depressed as well. That switch is under the seat with of course wires running to it like the others. Likely one pf the switches mentioned has some grass behind it....no fully depressed somehow...or is faulty and needs to be replaced. Hope this helps.

What could be the problem when the airbag light wont go off?

The seat pressure sensor. if it's the seat sensor you can find a BMW Airbag Bypass, Seat Occupancy Sensor Mat Emulator on ebay, they are cheap and it works well.

My 1997 Ford Expedition sometimes gets locked in park. the gears lock I can not get it out of park sometimes when it's running. Help !! My nephew says it's a sensor problem, and someone else...

Your vehicle has what's called a brake shift interlock which simply means you can't get it out of gear unless the brakes is pushed in. It is a safety feacture and it's a switch not a sensor. that is most likely going bad. There is a way you can bypass it when you are unable to get it into gear until you can get the switch replaced or whatever the problem is (guessing it's the switch though). Below is a picture to help you with this bypass procedure and unless you have a great memory I would print this out and keep it in the vehicle with you for when the problem does happen. here is the procedure: with the brake pedal depressed turn the key to the off position (3). Now apply the parking brake. Next turn the key to the lock position (2) and then remove the key. Now reinsert the key and turn it to the off position (3). At this point you should be able to put the vehicle in neutral and start the vehicle then. from nuetral you will be able to shift in all gears. I hope this helps and good luck.

Belt-Minder® Deactivating/Activating Vehicles Built After 5/27/03
Preparation
  1. Before deactivating/activating the belt minder, set the parking brake.
  1. Place the transmission range selector lever in PARK.
  1. Place the ignition switch in the OFF position.
  1. Close all the vehicle doors.
  1. Unbuckle the driver and passenger safety belts.
Deactivating/Activating
  1. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position. (Do not start the engine.)
  1. Wait until the safety belt warning lamp turns off (approximately 1 minute).
  1. NOTE: Step 3 must be completed within 50 seconds after the safety belt warning lamp turns off or the procedure must be repeated.
For the seating position being disabled, buckle then unbuckle the safety belt 9 times, ending with the safety belt unbuckled.
  1. NOTE: After Step 3, the restraint system warning indicator lamp turns on for 3 seconds.
Within 10 seconds of the safety belt warning indicator turning on, buckle then unbuckle the safety belt.
  1. The beltminder activation or deactivation is confirmed by the following sequences:
    • If the beltminder is enabled, this procedure will disable the beltminder for that specific seating position. The safety belt warning indicator lamp will flash 4 times per second for 3 seconds to confirm that the deactivation procedure was successful.
    • If the beltminder is disabled, this procedure will enable the beltminder for the specific seating postion. The safety belt warning indicator lamp will flash 4 times per second for 3 seconds followed by a second series of 4 flashes per second for 3 seconds to confirm that the activation procedure was successful.
  1. After confirmation, the deactivation/activation procedure is complete.
Vehicles Built Prior To 5/27/03

  1. NOTE: Steps 3 through 5 must be completed within 60 seconds or the procedure must be repeated.
Buckle then unbuckle the safety belt 3 times, ending with the safety belt unbuckled. This portion of the procedure can be done before or during belt minder warning activation.
  1. Turn the parklamps/headlamps on then off.
  1. Buckle then unbuckle the safety belt 3 times ending with the safety belt unbuckled. After this step the safety belt warning lamp will be illuminated for 3 seconds.
  1. Within 7 seconds of the safety belt warning lamp turning off, buckle then unbuckle the safety belt. This will enable the belt minder if disabled and disable the belt minder if enabled.
  1. The following sequence of events confirm the belt mnider is enabled:
    • flashing of the safety belt warning belt lamp 4 times per second for 3 seconds
    • 3 seconds with the safety belt lamp off
