Same problem here. Mouse pointer is jerky and keyboard doesn't respond. Moving the receiver seems to help but may just be a coincidence.

Normal 0 Press the Receiver button (and the lights will start flashing.
Then if the Keyboard isn't working, press the small RESET/CONNECT button on the back of the board to connect the keyboard to the receiver.

If the MOUSE isn’t working, push the small RESET/CONNECT button on the back of the mouse to connect to the receiver. Then they should work okay.
Hope this helps. Bud

Mouse is eratic and jumpy

Try reducing the motion speed of the mouse and also try cleaning the mouse pads and the roller ball if this isnt an optical mouse.

Slow and eratic cursor

try reinstalling your mouse/touch pad drivers, if that doesnt fix, reinstall windows after u backup ur personal effects, if that doesn't fix, chances are its a physical problem, if you have the expertise, pop it apart and get to the mouse pad itself, usually built into the top, check to make sure the cable is fully pressed into the connection, then reassemble it and try again.

if all else fails, buy a new computer

Acer extenza 5620z mouse not responding as it should keyboard input slow and not responsive cannot input all digits of my password to get computer started

How long since you've run the computer? Might it be processing and update like when it reboots after installing a service pack? That might be making the computer run slow for a few minutes. Give it a little time to get started and see if your mouse and keyboard begin to work.
