Frigidaire LFFH17F7HWH
SOURCE: Compressor Stopping
compressor is running overloaded possible problems bad relay/overload /capacitor dirty or clogged condensers if the unit uses a condenser fan suspect a bad fan. and defective thermostats are notorious for short cycling. id check the coils first and if dirty clean up maybe that can be the major problem.

someone suggested to me the other day to put weter foods closer to the top the ones with dripin water and more solids down at bottom they said this changes the climate inside to be more economical
im just passing this info cause ive never had or been in contact with a upright freezer
SOURCE: freezer only cools to 40 degrees
check to see if there is ice built up on the inside back if there is it may have defrost problems or if part of the back has ice it may be low of freon

If your'e positive the temp is ok then your freezer cold control may be bad. Slowly turn it toward off. If the compressor doesn't cut off before it gets to off, the control is probably bad. Test it here>http://www.acmehowto.com/howto/appliance/refrigerator/refrigerator.php

Hello friend, thank you for your post!
I understand you would like to reset the temperature on your Frigidaire freezer, LFFH17F7HWH. The best way to reset your freezer is to disconnect power from it for at least ten minutes. The factory recommended temperature for your freezer should be set to 0°F. If you need any additional assistance please feel free to reconnect. Hopefully this information is helpful to you. -Matt
