Hey, I would check water filter if it has one and the water line to water valve at the back of refrigerator. I'm thinking dirt or something when they work on water problem in other unit.

Good Morning Edwin,

I see that you changed the motherboard in your Frigidaire refrigerator, model# PHSC3EHSS1I, due to it being full of water and would damage. I would suggest contacting your local authorized technician for further assistance. They will be able to diagnose exactly why the compressor will not start after you changed out the motherboard. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-

the water usually comes from the evaporator defrosting and the drain being plugged with ice or frozen water. try a hair dryer and defrost the frozen water and clean the drain plug and hose

This is a combination of problems. I have a Kenmore Elite labeled Frigidaire model 253.44513601. If you are reading this you are aware that Kemore/Frigidaire refer's are JUNK.

I have went through TWO Kenomre Elites since 2001. My lateset Fridge (bought January 2007) suffered the "E F" code.

At first I replaced the Evaporator Fan (behind freezer compartment.) This did NOT solve the problem. I then bought a new control board located under the freezer. (take off toe plate, and removes screw, the board slides out and is connected by 3 wire harnesses.)

My fridge is now running, but it has yet to get "cool." This maybe because the User Interface needs to match the control board. Not sure yet, but I will keep posted.

getting access to the actuator. this is the procedure;
turn off the power
Remove the drain tray it just snaps out. remove the 3 screws behind the tray. carefully lift the panel up and out. There is a short control wire connecting the panel to the frig so be careful. remove the water hose from the outlet hole and remove the ice and water module.

its very easy  The drip tray will just slide out and then you will see the screws that hold the trim in place.
to get more complete details just click the link directly and get the proper diagrams  http://appliancejunk.com/forums/index.php?topic=282.0
if you have not had the fridge repair yet here is how to get in to the dispenser to get the actuator.

Feel or look along the bottom edge of the trim on the dispenser and you will see two slots.

Use a flat blade screwdriver to pry the bottom off.

Then slide the trim up and lift it off this will give you access to the screws to replace the actuator.

Here is a place to get Frigidaire parts

please do rate the solution.thank you for using fixya.keep updated.thanks.

Look on the spec label that shows voltage, amps, model number and serial number. This is often at the rear near the mains wire or on a label inside the fridge.

Good Afternoon Gerald, thank you for your post!
I see that your Frigidaire refrigerator is only dispensing crushed ice not cubed ice. Your solenoid (which tells the dispenser crushed or cubed) might be frozen. You can defrost the solenoid by disabling power from it for at least one hour and then restoring power. If you continue to experience this issue you may need to have the solenoid replaced or the control panel and I would suggest having a professional technician out for proper repairs. Good luck with your refrigerator! -Matt

The bucket is probably frozen in it mount. Turn off refrigerator until it defrost enough to release it

This is usually caused by a clogged drain hose. Blow air thru it from the back to clear the clog. Good luck, hope this helps. Also make sure door seals are good and doors are closing properly.
