Philips HTS w/a hammer!
I had better sound from TV alone! Only 2 speakers put out sound from TV. Recordings from DVR can not be heard very well w/all volumes at max. System sucks! You get what you pay for! $2500 LCD TV sounds worse w/Philips HTS than my son's $300 TV! ALL cables hooked up as instucted!!!!

SOURCE: i can not find the audio out jack on my 47 inch

You might name the model of the TV.

If the TV is a monitor it doesn't have any audio capabilites. What you should do, and owners of monitors must do, is get the best digital or analog audio from the same source the TV would get it - cable/sat/dvd/bd/game.

There is nothing to be gained by washing hi-fi multi-channel audio through a TV's sub-par audio electronics and turning it into grainy analog audio for consumption by higher-fi audio-specific equipment..

I have a Dynex Flat Pannel TV with a DVD player in the TV. I have it hooked up to my HD line coming into the house. My question is: Is there a way to hook speparate speakers from the TV and by-pas the...

Yes you can provided your tv-has a headphone jack. Just plug in any regular computer speakers or the like into the headphones jack and the audio output would be switched to external speakers automatically. On the contrary if your tv does not have a headphone jack then you will need to obtain a home-theatre system and connect the stereo audio out ports to the audio in of the home theatre system. They have become very affordable these days and I have seen a Philips home theatre system(2.1) starting at around 120$.

How do you get sound to come from tv out of speakers of home theatre system

It just depends on the tv you have. If you hook up the RCA jacks to the (Audio out) of the TV into one of the (AUX in) ports of the home Theatre system you should be able to geet the sound that comes from the TV to play out the theatre system. If you are watching through a cable box you will need to hook the RCA cables to the cable box (Audio out) too the theatre systems (AUX in), in insted.

Multiple game systems through home theatre

what you need to do is hook all of your gaming systems into the "in ports" on your gameing switch, then hook the set of cables you want to use to the "out port" then the other end of those cables need to go to the "in port" on the home theatre system (you can pick which in port you would like to use, it should say which is which on the back by the ports) after doing this you need to find the out port on the home theatre system that corresponds with the cables you are using ie, rca component or hdmi. once you find that port you need to hook a cable to that into your 'in port" on your tv., lastly turn on all of your gaming systems, your tv and your home theatre system. and on your home theatre system select which ever port you hooked the gaming switch into, then turn your tv to the correct channel that you hooked the cables into the tv, lastly go through each swithc on your gaming switch to be sure that they all work, if not, you might want to use all the same cables for all connections, ie, all component all rca or all hdmi, i prefer component.
