Vizio Televison & Video - Recent Questions, Troubleshooting & Support
Vizio V705-H1 started having display issues. The background seems okay but words have tracers.
Check Connections:
Ensure that all cables connecting your TV to external devices (such as your cable box or gaming console) are securely plugged in. Loose connections can cause display anomalies.
Test Different Devices or Apps:
Try using other devices or apps with your TV to see if the issue persists. If the TV's menu looks fine but a specific device is causing trouble, that device might be the culprit.
Adjust Picture Settings:
Navigate to the picture settings by pressing the 'Menu' button on your remote.
Experiment with different picture modes. Sometimes a minor adjustment can resolve display problems.
Soft Power Cycle:
Unplug your TV from the power source.
Press and hold the power button on the TV for about 3-5 seconds (this helps drain any residual power).
Plug the TV back in and turn it on. Some TVs also have a 'Soft Power Cycle' option in their settings menu, so check there too.
As you have tried a reset, that takes us to the options of contacting Vizio support and/or your warranty.
Vizio all in one computer VIZIO CA-27 voltage and part number for subwoofer/power supply replacement
The power supply/subwoofer for the VIZIO CA-27 series all-in-one PCs is identified by the part number 715G6960-P02-001-002S or ADTVE1825AC71. The power supply connects to the motherboard via a proprietary dual jack Audio/Power cable. I couldn't find specific voltage details for the subwoofer/power supply in the available resources. For precise information, I recommend checking the user manual or contacting VIZIO customer support directly.
Why is my Vizio TV stuck on mute.
The one logo is coming from the set top box that is supplying the signal, cable box, satellite box, Android box etc. Look for Mute on that remote, or cut the power to all your devices by removing the wall plugs. Wait 15 minutes and plug back in.

How do I fix a Vizio TV?
Back - light problem. Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis.

Some model sets; especially LED back-lighted types; the back-light inverter circuit will be part of the main power supply board [SMPS]. In such cases, the power supply board might need replacement.
Vizio E50-C1 power on light is on but can't turn off. No picture or sound.
You have a balling issue with the main CPU IC, you can try baking the board in the over, it's possible you will get it to work again for a while doing that, see youtube vids on baking a main board in the over for how to do it. The correct way to fix the TV is replace the main board, here is a listing for a board, stay away from ebay on buying TV parts. https://www.shopjimmy.com/vizio-756txfcb02k0450-main-board-for-e50-c1-ltc6skar-serial/
My menu button on my Magnavox universal remote on to my Vizio tv
On a VIZIO remote, the menu button will either look like a gear wheel icon, or it have the word "MENU" printed on the button. To get TV channels using an antenna, you will need to connect the antenna to the TV first. Next you will need to change the input on the TV screen to the Antenna or TV input.

Closed caption wont turn off
I have a Vizio VX37L that i purchased on 12/26/08 and I had the same problem by 1/4/09. My five year old son loves to futz around with buttons and switches and he somehow enabled closed captions from the front of my Motorola digital cable box (I had it hooked up to the Vizio via HDMI 1.)
What you need to do is turn off your cable box and leave the Vizio on. Hit the "Menu" button on the front of the cable box and that should bring up a setup screen on your TV. Using the down cursor button on the front of the cable box, go down to the "Close Caption" section on the setup screen. It probably says "Enabled." Click on the right cursor button to disable CC and you should be good to go.
