Backlight issue vizio e55-e2
Hi Sean...It's your backlight strips that need replacing. Best place to buy them is shopjimmy.com. You have some shorted lamp buttons that's causing the power supply inverter to shut down from over current
How do I add ESPN app to Vizio smart tv
If you have Chrome cast with Google assistant paired to your Tv... ask Google Assistant to "change the channel to ESPN (or YouTube) on the living room tv.
(I had not figured out how to add apps I actually want... Google Assistant or Alexa works for me.) No app is needed.
I want to connect my Vizio vo320e to get WiFi
The Vizio VO230E does not have network capabilities built in. The TV has built around 2009 before many TVs included either wired or wireless networking. The manual has the specifications on page 61; the manual is available here:
http://cdn.vizio.com/manuals/kb/legacy/vo320emanual.pdf .
To get a wireless connection, you need to connect some sort of streaming device with wireless networking to the TV. This can be a computer, a ChromeCast and your phone or tablet, a Roku device or another streaming box. Plug the HDMI cable (or device plug) or the device into one of the two HDMI ports on the TV. Connect the device to a power source, if one is needed. (For devices that use a USB power connection, do not connect the USB power cord to the service port of the TV. Connect it to a charger.)
Since your choice of devices range in price from the ~$15 Roku Express to several hundred dollars for computers, depending on the specifications, you will need to decide which features/platforms you want.
I hope this helps.

Vizio E3D420VX-IR Sensor keeps going bad
I've seen this a couple times on a Vizio TV, not sure the model however. If I remember correctly I ended up replacing the main board to fix the issue, if you test the 3.5 volt regulators on the main I believe you will find the same input and output voltage on one of them.
Vizio E500i-A0 screen is black. I tested the screen with the flash light test and that works. Along with the sound. Please help.
Ho Joe...I suspect your LED backlights are bad, this model doesn't have local dimming so complete lamp failure is possible. A couple things to test, you need to make sure you're getting the signal to enable the inverter, look for around 3 vdc at the bl-on pin on power board, if you see that chances are really good it's bad lamps and over voltage-current is shutting down the regulator side of the inverter, the reason you see voltage on the 2 B+ lines to frame ground is they regulate the minus side of the supply. If you have a 330 ohm 2 watt resistor you can jump each minus side and you should see the working lamps light but it really doesn't prove anything other than some of the lamps still work
