The pages are printing off center.

There is a black section down the right side of the paper. It was printing fine, I went to change the paper and fix a paper jam and now it is printing to the left of the paper too far by about 1/8"

A black section down one side of the page could be a couple of things.
1) The Corona Wire Cleaner (The sliding piece on top of the Drum Unit normally either Green or Blue) is not at it's correct rest spot which is where the arrow on the slider and the arrow on the drum unit meet.
2) There is something stuck on the drum or in the laser. Check that there is no scraps of paper caught up in the workings.

Printing too far to one side can be caused by a misalignment of the laser. Turning the machine off for a few minutes may rectify the problem. Otherwise the paper is placed in the tray off-center. Make sure the paper uides on the tray are set snug on the paper.

Hope that helps

I have a grey/black line all the way down the right hand side of the page

Run a half test.
Put paper in the manual feed tray.
Print something, anything
When the paper is 1/2 way into the printer, open the cover.
Pull out the toner cartridge. Look down at the paper.
Does it have a black line on the right side?
If yes, replace the cartridge. If no, replace the fuser.

Model 7700 won't allow me to run printed page through for two-sided print. Shows jam warning, but no jam. Unprinted pages run fine.

Are you using the bypass tray for the second run? If so, of course you have a problem with the bypass paper path. As you might know, the workaround is to place the printed page face down on top of the paper stack in the input tray. . I would be amazed that if you tried to run it this way (page on stack) that the machine would cough it up. That would amaze me. Try running sparcely printed stuff through, stuff printed on only one side of the page, then the other, then the center, etc. Could be that there is some sensor in there that doesn't like black toner marks just to see what is going on. Then go from there by asking online with that info. . Good luck.

Smeared print on paper

I was getting a similar blur/blob down one side of the paper (with no discernable print anywhere,) but after removing and emptying the toner collection bottle my printing returned to normal. I am still working on the size mismatch issue, which seems to be prevalent in the 2300DL population.

Line down the right stide in the megenta area of the self test and blurrred print on the right side

Step1
If you're setting up the printer or changing the toner or ink cartridge for the first time, double-check the instructions to make sure that you installed the cartridge correctly and, for new printers, that you have removed all the pieces of cardboard or plastic packing material.
Step
2
Check to see whether paper is feeding from the paper tray. If it's not leaving the tray at all, try feeding a page manually (if that's an option) or using a different paper tray. Sometimes a problem with the tray can be traced to a broken spring or a piece of plastic.
Step
3
If paper is feeding from the tray but jamming in the printer, examine where the jam is occurring and then inspect the printer carefully to see if you can find what is causing the problem. A piece of paper, for instance, might be blocking the paper path.
Step
4
If paper is feeding through the printer but coming out blank, check to see whether the printer is out of toner or ink. A defective toner or ink cartridge could be the problem.

Black Lines running down the right side outside of the print area

It may be the fuser. Take it out and inspect the roller on it:

  1. Switch off the device, disconnect the mains plug and wait for 30 minutes before continuing.
  2. Ensure that the bypass tray is closed, or you will not be able to open the front cover.
  3. Open the front cover by pressing the release buttons as shown.
  4. Pull the front cover down towards you.
  5. Disconnect the green plug - squeeze the sides of the plug and pull.
  6. Push the left and right levers outward to unlock the unit.
  7. Pull the unit towards you as shown and lift it clear of the device.
  8. Check the roller for wear marks, If so replace it.
If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
Thanks, Joe

HP Laserjet 1320 - Gray bars printing on sides of paper with dark dots

It sounds like a defective toner cartridge. Try replacing it. If that does not cure the problem, then the fuser assembly needs to be replaced, in which case it is probably cheaper to buy a new one.

Good luck
