First, un-install any drivers you have installed for the scanner (if you have tried any).
Second, disconnect the scanner from your computer.
Download the driver and the software update from the provided link (above).
Once you have downloaded the driver (ps804en.exe) right click it, select the Properties/Compatibility Tab and check 'Use Compatibility Mode' and set it for Windows XP SP2, and also check 'Run as Administrator'
Then click ok.
Now run ps804en.exe and do not connect your scanner until the installation is finished (unless it specifically asks you to connect the scanner).
Now right click the updated software (ps803mu.exe),select the Properties/Compatibility Tab and check 'Use CompatibilityMode' and set it for Windows XP SP2, and also check 'Run asAdministrator'
Then click ok.
Now run ps803mu.exe
With any luck this might work.
every time I try to download a file, it tries but fails...it says error occured windows cannot download file....how can I fix this?
