Dear Sami Kotaich,

unfortunately your Cannon has not released drivers for vista for this product.

I can give you one suggestion; connect your scanner with vista PC and atleast let it try to install necessary USB drivers. once it has been done you will see message your hardware installed or there was a problem installing drivers for your hardware and it may not work properly.

now leave scanner connected and go in start menu- programs- accessories- paint

once you are in paint click on File Menu then From Scanners or Cameras. if it does recognize and you get scan wizard then you will be able to use your scanner on vista. but if it doesn't recognize then I am sorry you might need to get more authentic recommendation from Cannon support.

If you do not have the disk you must download the software from Internet, follow instructions below,

Click here:Official Canon Drivers and Software

A web page will open, follow instructions, select model, select operative system etc., and click on download .
Chose to download the file in my documents when asked.
After downloading, find thefile,doubleclick on the file, if you get introubles,then follow the instructions below to reset and reinstall:

• Unplug USB.
• Download driver from website and run the file.
  
• Follow driver installation wizard.
• Plug back printer when prompted from installation wizard.

Note:some device does not work on Vista.

Sorry to tell you but your scanner is not compatible with Windows 7. It only supports Windows 98, 2000, ME and Windows XP.

There is no direct solution .
You need to use Windows XP or install a virtual version of XP on your pc .

If the Canon WEB site does not have the Windows 7 printer driver for your model printer then Canon considers this printer too old to support or it is not compatible with Windows 7 and they want you to upgrade your printer.
