SOURCE: My charger won't work so now my computer wont turn on

Unplug you ac adapter from the wall and plug a lamp in to verify that the wall plug is working correctly. Pick up the adapter to see if it feels warm. Most adapters will feel warmer than room temperature if they are working,
If the cords on your adapter can be unplugged from the adapter, reseat them. Try the ac adapter in another wall plug to see if it comes on. The adapter may have an LED on it that indicates whether or not it is on. If it doesn't, about the only way to check it is to use a multimeter to see if there is any voltage on the plug that goes into the back of the laptop. If something else will work in the original wall plug and the adapter won't work in another wall plug, you will need to obtain another ac adapter.
Once you've tried these things, let me know and we'll go from there.
Thanks!
Ron-

SOURCE: Acer Aspire 5002 Laptop will not stay on

This can be an overheat issue. Either the CPU or the Chipset is overheating. Make sure all your fans are working.

Laptops still turn on with the ac adapter plug in and without a battery plugged in. Nope a bad CMOS battery would give you a warning message on the laptop screen, stating the CMOS battery is low or needs to be replaced.

Also does your battery hold a charge? If so with the battery plug in only (without the ac adapter plugged in) does the laptop do the same thing?

SOURCE: I am having a problem with my acer travelmate

Test the power pack with a multimeter.  If it is not giving out the correct voltage, then your power pack is bad.  If it is good, replace the battery.

SOURCE: battery not charging

If the Acer is brand new then it is under warranty. Take it back to where you bought the Acer and get it fixed under warranty. if you attempt to fix it yourself you will most likely void your warranty.

Hp laptop trouble with power on

There could be several reasons why your HP laptop is not turning on and not charging even after installing a new power button board and DC in port. Here are a few possible causes and troubleshooting steps you can try:

Battery: Even if the laptop is connected to the charger, if the battery is faulty or dead, the laptop may not turn on. Try removing the battery and plugging in the charger directly to the laptop. If the laptop turns on without the battery, then it's likely that the battery needs to be replaced.

Charger: Check if the charger is working properly. You can try using another charger with the same voltage and amperage to see if the laptop starts charging. If the laptop starts charging with a different charger, then your original charger may be faulty.

Power Jack: Make sure the power jack is properly connected to the motherboard. If it's loose or not properly seated, the laptop may not charge or turn on. You can try reseating the power jack or replacing it if it's damaged.

Motherboard: If none of the above steps work, then the problem may be with the motherboard. A damaged or faulty motherboard can prevent the laptop from turning on or charging. In this case, you may need to take the laptop to a professional repair technician or consider replacing the motherboard.

In summary, the laptop may not turn on even when connected to the charger if the battery is dead or faulty, the charger is faulty, the power jack is loose or damaged, or the motherboard is damaged. It's important to troubleshoot each of these components to identify the root cause of the issue.

Ipad will not start?!

There are a few things to try. 1) Press the power button and the home button (on the front) at the same time. If that doesn't work 2) try plugging it into a different charger than you normally use. If that works, you need a new charger. If it doesn't show that it's charging within 30 seconds, your iPad charging port or battery probably has a problem and will need repaired.

IPhone 5 was working perfectly, but when I plugged it in to charge, it didn't start charging. I could still use the phone. Now the phone died and nothing happens. Is the battery dead (as in broken)?

I would guess that you battery is fine, it is either your charger is not working or worse case your charger socket on you phone is damaged. Try connecting your iphone to your computer via the USB port and charging cable, if your phone starts to charge you know you have a problem with the plug side of your charging cable which is where your transformer is. Be aware that if your battery is totally flat it could take several minutes before you hear the beep from your phone to indicate that it is charging. If that doesn't work it could be your charging lead that is damaged so try charging with a different lead. If still no joy then you could be in trouble as the charging socket is soldered to the mother board and could be an expensive repair so fingers crossed it is only the charger that is damaged.
