i have acer ferrari 200series i have a problem on usb internet key..i did not run automatically, on the device manager show a question mark on dvd/cd rom, but when i update the driver it keep say is up to date,,,

Insert your OS cd and repair your os.

Open your partition manager. Check if there are partitions other than the 128Gb detected. If there are others, you can create a new partition for those unpartitioned space

If you put a 2GB stick into a slot, it will only recognize and use 1/4 or 1/2 of the RAM.

OK the power on password is the bios password

To reset the bios password
1.) open the laptop
2.) Remove the laptop battery
3.) on th main board is another battery remove that as well
4.) hit the power button(it will be a switch which the button pushes) 5 times
5.) replace board battery
6.) reassemble
7.) THAT JUST RESET YOUR BIOS AND BIOS PASSWORD,
enter setup and load optamised defaults and your set

TO REMOVE WINDOWS PASSWORD
1.) download hirens boot cd from here www.phazeddl,com
2.) boot from cd
3.) USE THE WINDOWS PASSWORD RESET TOOL TO RESET YOUR PASSWORD
4.) YOUR DONE

The processor is an Intel Celeron M 360 1.4GHz
The hard drive is 40GB (upgradable to 360GB)
The RAM (memory) is 256 DDR (upgradable to 1GB or 2GB with a BIOS flash) Let the buyer flash the BIOS.

I couldn't find any information about the cmos location, but I've seen videos on finding it on other computers, and you have to get down below the keyboard to find it. On some computers, it can even be beneath the cpu, but on others it's at the front, and easily accessible. You can check out some videos on YouTube, and they show the process on certain computers- that will give you an idea of what you have to disassemble. Otherwise, you will need a service manual, and here is a link to one:

Please try this :
Open the registry under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class

[to open the registry, vista or 7, navigate to start, then type in regedit, choose from list, right click and say open as administrator. On XP, navigate to start, choose run, type in regedit and hit enter]

Then find the DVD & CD ROM key under above value.
Under the DVD & CD ROM key, find the values UpperFilter & LowerFilter and delete both seperately. Reboot machine and recheck. See below for picture

For the first 2 reasons, do a full recovery.

Last reason, get a new hardrive.
