The far left button below the start button (middle, top) is the wireless button. It seems this button is finicky and the led doesn t always light. Open the control panel and access the Windows Mobility Center at the bottom. The wireless feature enable button will not be accessible if the wireless button is not activated. While on this screen press the far left button that has a dish network symbol and keep pressing it over and over until the button on the mobility center panel is enabled. You can ask for a bios pw reset from the computer manufacturer tech support dept.they can try to reset the pw for you,but if that does not work, the motherboard needs to be replaced on your system

try putting your xp disc in first then shut down your laptop then switch your laptop back on,you should then see,hit any key to install windows.

no, u have to format the hdd on another system with using of external hdd connector. and format it with fat32. it will work.

You need to upgrad the amount of RAM. The 4720 notebook is capable of running up to 4GB or ram on 32bit windows 7 OS The OS requires 1GB of RAM to run..... Therefore, you only have enough RAM to run window, and no spare ram that should be dedicated to the graphics and other system operations. Action needed: Buy 2x 2GB sticks of Kingston ValueRam and run the laptop on 4GB. It will be much faster than what is needed and should provide fast computer responce. Cheers.

is there any other way to solve the audio problem? after i install win xp sp3 in my acer aspire 5550,i get stuck in installing audio driver.i have download the driver from many website even in acer.com, but still cant solve it..please give me some idea..

Good Day!! Follow this advice but you have to be careful because it may create further damage.... The simplest way to remove a BIOS password is to simply remove the CMOS battery. A computer will remember its settings and keep the time even when it is turned off and unplugged because these parts are powered by small battery inside the computer called a CMOS battery. If we pull out this battery, the computer will forget alot of its hardware settings, including its BIOS password. This should not be performed on Laptops if you are not experienced working with laptop hardware. Make sure to power down the computer, unplug the power cables . The computer must not be able to get power from anywhere for this to work. Take out the CMOS battery and wait 5 - 10minutes before putting it back in. The reason for this wait is because the computer can still store power in its capacitors even though everything is unplugged. The waiting period allows enough time for them to discharge. Plug everything back in, power up the computer and enter the BIOS again. If everything went well there should be no more password. In some cases, if you get weird error messages during bootup now, you will need to goto "Load BIOS Defaults" in BIOS and save the changes to fix them. Hope it will help you.....

The system cannot detect the hard disk drive. Before you start up, re insert the hard disk. Remove the memory card and clean it with soft cloth or tissue paper. After doing these..Start up your computer and see the results. If nothing happens, restart your laptop, hit F12 key & set the hard disk drive to first boot device then press the Enter key. wait till the OS comes up.
