Tv turns off, volume adjusts incrementally then shuts off, screen is tinted blue

I went out of town for a couple weeks and when I came back the problems started. First- the color is distorted. Anything with ambient or stage light shining on it looks like glare and everything is tinted blue. Second- The Tv shuts off on its own after a few minutes. I can turn it back on but then it shuts off more quickly. Eventually it wont turn on at all until I unplug it and leave it alone for a few minutes. (maybe it's overheating if thats at all possible) Third- The volume increases incrementally on its own then drops down to where it is barely audible.

Video is taking on a red tint which is getting worse over time

check the cable connections. look at different inputs. VGA and Component cables have the colors split, so if it's turning red, green, or blue; it's likely a cable or connector.

Sounds like a bad blue CRT (picture tube) ITs expensive and difficult to replace. CAll a Sony service center for an estimate. but expect to spend $500-700 to replace it.

Tv screen has turned blue and I can't watch tv

i think by accident you have changed the input when you went to change the volume. look for a button labeled " input" or "video" select on the remote and scroll through the various choices. you should get your picture back.

I have a KP-65WV700 and the screen looks a lil to green

OK, I'm the guy that was having the same problem, but had a blue tint to the screen. I also had blue lines running across the screen, and when I followed the steps below that were posted by another user not only did the lines disappear, but the blue haze vanished as well. My tv looks like it's new again, so you may want to try this:

I have fixed this several times on my KP 65WV700

As Slinteriors posted if it is a thin curved line you need to adjust the screen control, it's sorta like a brightness for each color, and if one color is too high it will produce a thin curved line.

The best way I have found to get to the controls is by removing the lower grey speaker cover front the front of the TV. There are 6 screws if i remember, 3 on each side. Then it snaps off, seems like its going to break but you have to pop it off pretty good.

Once its loose you have to remove a cardboard like cover plate in the center that will give you access to the small controller board.

Now be very careful while experimenting on which knob controls which colors. Turn them very slow, if you turn to fast you will cause your TV to shut down. If this happens, turn the adjustment back to original spot and turn TV back on and take it slow.

Adjust the correct color until the line just goes away. Its easiest to do this with a black screen.

Red tint on screen

Good Day,

Try resetting the TV by unplugging from wall outlet for 3 to5 minutes then plug back in. If no fixya take front grill off and panel and adjust the screen controls, turn color off adjust for Black & White Picture. Good Luck, big IRISH.

Tint on television stays a greenish color.

Tubes are probably dirty. Very expensive fix. Unless it has a warranty or is recently new, look for a local cheap one or one with a smashed screen of the same size. Easy to change the screens out and is very cost effective.

Sanyo Tv color problem

I would check the green signal all the wat to the display screen to determine is this is a signal problem or a system short. I would recommend that you take this set to a qualified electronics technician
