SOURCE: frigidaire oven wont heat?

Wheely, more than likley it's the ignitor. Just check the burner and make sure there are no large holes, rust, etc. Part number is 5303935066. Easy job. Catriver..post back.

SOURCE: Frigidaire Range control panel DEAD

We tested the EOC and it will indeed need a replacement. Also, just a couple weeks prior we ran the "clean" mode on the oven as did another poster who experienced the "pop" and loss of the control board/oven function, but still had stove top function.

I believe the oven it has a power surge protector within the appliance. Try to unplug it and plug it back in. It should solve the problem.

SOURCE: Oven won't light on low settings (170), no trace gas smell.

Igniting bar located on the inside of the oven it is a rectangular piece with one or two screws. It is basically a heating element that also controls the gas. Change that ignitor and it should fix it no problem.

Hope you can help i have a frigidare 30 in stove 7 years old oven does not go on glow coil is working help thanks andrew

the "glow coil" /ignitor is weak and needs to be replaced , to get a bit techinal for a minute since the ignitor comes on at all that eliminates all other possibilities and the ignitor must draw between 3.2-3.6 amps to open the gas valve it indeed is coming on yet not drawing enough amps(getting hot enough) to open the gas valve.I base my oponion on 30 years plus as a appliance repair technician

Kitchenaid gas oven very slow to start - can be 5 - 10 minutes before I hear it kick on. For a while I could get it to start by turning on a gas burner, but that is 100% effective. Any suggestions? Also...

Replace your ignitor, this is a very common problem. As the ignitor gets older, it gets weaker. When it gets weaker, it usually starts out by not giving good temps in the oven, then it starts to take longer and longer before it lights the oven burner, then it stops lighting the burner completely. A good ignitor heats up fast, allows the current to flow through to the gas valve, opens the gas valve and lights the oven burner within 30 to 50 seconds. When you order your ignitor ask if their is a cheaper generic ignitor for this model. Their can be a huge price difference in some units. You can also have a bad sensor, control board, gas valve, or wiring problem, however for the last 15 or so years every job I have done with your problem has been an ignitor. Good Luck, Appliance Specialists

My frigidaire gas stove will not heat the "bake" part

If the bake ignitor comes on - check the amperage on the bake ignitor wires when it's on. If the ignitor is a round style - amperage should be 2.5-3A, if the ignitor is rectangular - 3 - 3.6A. If less than 2.5A or 3A respectively - replace ignitor.
Ignitor part numbers for round style ones: 4342528, WB2X9154, SGR403, 5304401265;
rectangular styles: 12400035, WB13K21, WB2X9998, SGR412, NR020, 5303935066, 814269, 9753108.
Ignitors of the same shape (i.e. rectangular) are interchangeable, if you can splice the wires.

Good luck!

GE ZGU650 EM1BG Gas Cooktop

On any range I've seen with electronic ignitors, the valves have a position that closes a contact to turn on the ignitor and manually moving the dial to the 'Hi' setting opens the contact again and the ignitor ceases to spark.
You don't mean the ignitors run even when the burners are off, do you?
I'm surprised to read that this has been happening for 'years,' the transformer for the ignitors must be really tough to withstand that and it doesn't sound like an electrode or transformer problem but rather a contact not opening as it should or you not advancing the control past the ignite point.

Most units bought in the last couple of years only had a one year warranty. Depending on usage the ignitor may go out every year.

Tappen gas 4 burner about 10 years old with about 10 hrs total use time(basement stove)

Hi Carlsr,

The F1 error code description is an electronic oven control failure. To fix this error, you need to replace electronic oven control (also called EOC or clock).

Hope it helps.

Thank you for using FixYa.
