How do I turn on the wifi feature on my Compaq H1015v Lap top

you need to turn on the wifi button on router

Hook a external keyboard to make sure it is working, if yes! the laptop keyboard will need to be replaced.

On XP ? Vista ? or Win 7?
Are you using LAN Cable ,Wifi or USB modem?
First of all make sure all driver installed correctly.
Secondly Check your anti virus database otherwise disable it first

check the drvier stats of the wifi is it there or not

You probably have to press the function button on your lap top and find the key that looks like a speaker with a up and down error.

download wifi driver software from www.compaq.com website and install on your pc and on wifi switch on your pc

You should be able to download drivers (the programs that make the hardware work) from Compaq from this site. You'll have to transfer them to the laptop via flash drive or other such device, and run each file needed individually, following any instructions. To be sure that you have drivers for everything installed, you can right-click on "My Computer" and select "Manage," then go to "device manager" on the left pane, which will show you all the hardware that windows sees attached. Anything with a yellow exclamation mark (probably) needs a driver - double click on it to see more information.

Installation Instructions :

Have you checked the manufacterers website for any updates concerning this? (e.g. new wifi drivers)
