Final Spin Cycle gets stuck at 1 minute

Our machine gets stuck at the 1 minute mark. It is in its final spin but doesn't actually time itself out. It appears to happen with larger/heavier loads. In addition to the sound of a 747 landing in the house

The time remaining on the readout seemed to be stuck at 8minutes left in the spin cycle is this normal..?..

This sounds like your machine could not be draining, if the washer cannot drain the water it will not spin. Eight minutes sounds about right for the final spin. If your machine has a pump clean out check to see if there is anything in it plugging the drain pump.

Washer stops during normal wash cycle for a minute or more, and then continues. Would replacing the timer fix it?

If it actually goes on and finishes the cycle and that really bothers you replace it. If not leave it alone and allow a little more time to complete its cycle. The lid switch only keeps the spin cycle from going with the top open.

STYLEMATER 4214164, AGITATOR SEAMS TO BE STUCK,

are you sure it's aggitating?common problem with direct drive washers is the motor coupling breaks and the transmission can't engage with the motor or you could have a bad transmission.usually you'll find oil leaking out of the ******. you can check this and the coupling at the same time.one other thing, when in spin open the lid and then close it and listen for a clunk and see if it spins, that would be the clutch on the ******.if this happens see if you can get it to spin in any other cycles,i've had bad timers do this,if it spins near rinse but not in the final spin and if you open the lid, close the lid and then the clutch falls and it does spin i'd say you have a bad timer, you can watch the timer,if it moves all the way to end but it doesn't spin in the same spot on the final spin but does spin in any other cycle it's the timer.but check the coupling first.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9K1KHEogf3c copy and paste,it will show you how to get at the coupling.

GE WJSE4150B1WW Model top load problem

It sounds like the timer must have went bad or has a loose connection, If I understand you correctly its stuck in the spin mode. and won't go to rinse or wash cycle, Is that what you are saying, If so Maybe the start button got pushed in to hard or pulled out to hard. If It don't work let me know so we can work on something else so we can get it fixed for you, Happy Holidays bear001
