WOO HOO I FIGURED IT OUT!!!! You have to pull it apart from the base up. First thing I did was take off the feet. If you look down the tower potion you can see a screw. Then u took off the tower. I figured out that if you just lined up the black square portion it would have come apart with just the one screw. Anyways now there is 2 more screws to get. 3 total to take the new bright tc36 tower crane apart. They are hard to see, but once the base is off you can get at em. Good luck everyone.

SOURCE: can not remove spool to replace string

If it's like my Ryobi, the alignment arrows are for feeding in string, not removing the spool. When aligned with the arrows, you should be able to insert two pieces of line into opposite sides of the housing. The ends of the line will come out of the spool next to a tiny hole. Put the end of each of the two lines into the holes, then pull the two lines from the outside. This will lock the ends of the line into the tiny holes in the housing. Now you can turn the housing by hand to wind the lines onto the spool. I think it will take about ten feet of line (on each side).

Alternatively, spin the bump stop out of the assembly. This holds the spool in, so when the bump stop is removed, the spool comes right out.

I hope this helps.

SOURCE: I need to put in new string -- don't know how to

This trimmer is an "AFS" (Automatic Feed System) trimmer meaning the trimmer uses centrifugal force and a lever that play out trimmer line without you ahving to bump it on the ground. Your trimmer uses .080" diamter line. You can get a replacement spool and lever at Lowe's fairly cheap. I would say get the spool that is already wound rather than trying to buy just the line and re-spooling...that will make this a LOT easier!

What you do to replace the line is place the trimmer on a stable flat surface (like a workbench), raise up the head of the trimmer and follow the steps below:

1. Remove the spool cover (this is the orange cap on the head)

2. Remove the spool, (observe and note the orientation of the spool!)

3. Using a pair of pliers, pull the orange feed lever straight out (observe and note the orientation of the lever!)...do not try to pry it off, you will damage the head!

4. Insert the new lever in the same orientation you noted when you removed the old one.

5. Insert the new spool and line in the same orientation as the old spool.

6. Replace the cap.

Black and Decker has an 800 number you can call if you get stuck, the number is 1-800-544-6986. Good Luck!

SOURCE: B & D auto feed string trimmer won't advance string

Is the string spool seated on the rachet correctly? If so and all is well, it is worth noting that these trimmers auto feed fuunction is problematic at best, requiring manually unwinding some line every few minutes as the unit gets older.

Window blinds

I don't know about fixing them after they've become entangled, but I do know a thing or two about preventing them from ever getting tangled in the first place. One idea I've heard is to put the string inside a clear plastic straw, which would then help prevent the adjacent string from get tangled up with it. If you do have a serious tangle issue, sometimes it is easier to just replace it rather than try an untangle it. Or you take the whole unit off the wall and untangle it that way.

To start, you need a TA27 triangle driver bit to remove the handles. Then pull hard straight up on the top block with the face on it. It will separate from the tower. The rest is straight forward. I have some choice words for the person who designed this thing...

You will need to pull the roller out and clean it. I think some of the strings are tangle up at the end of this roller. (Most rollers will come apart at the end for cleaning.) Make sure that the strings are not tangle up on the belt pulley as well. I hope this will help you.

Thread breaks

Hi!

Check to see if the lower thread be tangled. Also, the bobbin could be threaded improperly in the shuttle hook. Rethread the bobbin in the shuttle hook.
How to detangle a thread---

  • When a machine stops operation due to tangled thread, do not turn the pulley by force.
If the pulley is turned by force then, lower thread might not be picked up correctly and stitches might not be formed correctly.

  • If threads get tangled, remove a needle plate and cut the tangled threads by scissors or cutter.
  • Do rate the solution if you find it helpful & useful.

Kenmore DW model 15999 Lower Spray Tower Came off

Yes, I was able to get it fixed.
The spray tower actually fits in the rack (I had thought it fit in the top of the lower spray arm - wrong!)

If you were to look at the spray tower itself, it has 2 little clip like plastic protrusions that with a little twist will clip onto the lower rack!

Push the lower rack in and you can see where the center would be, (right over the middle of the lower spray arm ).

Now pull out the rack and take the spray tower and slip it under the rack up thru the bottom in the position you noted was the center (from above).

Now with the spray tower in place, slide the rack back inside the dishwsher and you will see that the tower will be sitting directly over the top of the exact middle of the lower spray arm.

    Voila!

adjust the thread tightness. thread tension might be loose enough. be sure also the the bobbin inside the machine is place correctly! reversed placement would result in bigger mess.
