Remove the top thread from the machine.
ALWAYS RAISE the presser foot and rethread from the beginning.
Verify the thread path is correct.
Set the top tension to the midway point and then tweak it so the top and bobbin threads meet in the middle of the fabric.

Make sure the needle is not bent and fully inserted per machine instructions. Clean shuttle area and feed dogs. Look for fabric debris and/or needle fragments. Oil the two locations shown in illustration (4) with 1 drop each of high quality gun (firearm) or sewing machine oil.

Brother calls it a sewing machine. It is capable of quilting/free motion with proper accessory foot. It does not have an embroider table option.

The Janome 6019QC has the reverse stitch button to the right of the threading path below the thread tension dial. The thread tension dial is under the top cover but the two points help triangulate the button. The reverse stitch button is shown as item 27 on the first illustration of the parts of the sewing machine in the manual (page 2 of the manual, page 4 of the PDF).
