My amana front loading washer is pouring water out of the bottom instead of draining out of the back. It also does not sound right. It is much louder than usual.

I have had the washer for about 4 years now and have not had a single problem. I put a moderate load of laundry in tonight and when I came back the water was pouring out of the bottom instead draining out of the back like it is suppose to. It also does not sound right. It is much louder than usual.

SOURCE: amana nav5800aww water on floor after spin cycle

Sounds very similar to having something such as a sock or small article of clothing that is too large to be sucked down the drain hose into the pump. So what happens is it hangs around between the inner and outer drums and sometimes gets itself lodged over the drum drain hole, and can allow water to be centrifically flung over the top of the drum. Most times when the spin cycle stops, the article of clothing will dislodge and float around inside the drum only to do it again later....
If you can remove the top of the machine, you can usually see the gap between the two drums and use a piece of coathanger wire with a small hook on the end and "go fishing in the area between the two drums and close to the drain hole location... bet you'll find something in there... Let me know how it goes... and if I can help .. ken

SOURCE: amana front load washer door locked with door open

To get the front off. (All screws look to be #2 Phillips Screws)
1. You have to unscrew (2) phillips screws from the back that holds the top on.
2. Slide the top off. (slide towards the back)
3. Then where the control panel is there is about 4-6 screws holding that plastic piece on, take those out this will allow you to pull the control panel up and out of the way.
4. At this point you can unscrew the 4-6 screws in the door area that holds the front of the washer on, once you unscrew those screws there is a tab that you have to lift the front over to pull the front off. This will allow you access to the locking mechanism.
5. There are only 2 screws holding te locking mechanism on.

Amana nfw7200tw will not run. all wash settings read 1 extra minute. Is this a code or something like that?

have you tried unplugging and resetting the computer, it seams hung in the last cycle, can you open the door and remove all inside, reset it again and try it, the washer sounds like it has water in it and needs to drain first,if it is full of water you have to drain it, by moving it and taken the drain hose off the pump,if that's the case i recommend flushing the inside with hot water and some bleach right through the front door or reservoir on top, after you get it emptied, the water sensor may be full of soap, by the way the soap your putting in this machine should only be about a 6th of a cup, I know it sound crazy but a half or a 3rd is to much, for the sensors, try this an get back to me,Matt

I have an amana front load washer nfw7200tw10 I replaced the drain pump and still get ND error

I had the same problem, not sure it was your pump, load it with a bucket of hot water and some bleach, turn it on and let it run through a short cycle, the hot water and bleach can clean the sensor and the screen in the bottom going down to the pump, did water drain out when you took the lines loose, if it did its a good sign, most people dont realize you use only a quarter or less cup of soap in this washer, it will get the sensor water sensor dirty and the washer thinks it has water when it doesnt, the pump cant drain cause there is no water, . try the hot water trick, rmember use a bucket and as hot a water as you can, probably hair sudds and who know what is blocking the sensor, mine was hair, from my little girl, Matt

Water pouring out from the bottom of the machine. Drain pump cleaned

Hello,

Sounds like you may a have a broken or loose hose, removing the back panel should give you access to what every hose came off. the back panel is held on with several screws on the back.

Drum wont turn water wont drain checked pump suspect frost indrain hose inside washer drain pipe seems crunchy

Your probably on the right track,if you can expose the drain pipe to heat to melt frozen portion would be an idea or you could pour hot water back the drain hose(at its outlet) to melt the water in front of it-thats the most obvious thing first anyway, small socks are a nuisance also getting clogged in drain at exit from drum to drain pump

Amana washer leaking.

Have your husband disconnect the power and water lines, pull the washer out and tip it back so he can check the hose connections to the water drain pump in the bottom of the washer. That pump should have two hose connections. In older machines, it is entirely possible that a hose has either come loose or cracked. If the hoses appear fine, check the pump itself for possible cracks. If all looks well, check the hose clamps for tightness.

Amana Top Load Washer model# LW3502W Washer leaks water somewhere between wash & rinse cycle best I can tell...drain hose checks out fine. At beginning of wash cycle the first minute or two of agitation...

Sounds like the water seal is damaged and the leaking water has damaged the top bearing which is just below the water seal. You will need to have the hub & seal kit replaced.

Internal water leak Amana AT5518SW

King, you probably have a defrost drain port that is frozen over. When the unit goes into defrost it's running through the air damper instead of going out the drain line. Therefore you get water into the refrigerator section. You can verify this by removing the evaporator cover in the freezer and checking the drain hole. You can clear it by running hot water into it. You will have to remove all the built up ice from water that did not drain in that area...Catriver..post back.
