My hp wont print or copy but will scan

Hi try removing the print head, run it under the tap, dry, then replace the head and retry

For tech guys only: Remove ADF unit from the printer, remove both side covers of adf, remove & replace scan head, check...
Replace scan head

change the ink cartridge & get your printer serviced

the ink inside of the cartridges is gelled.

it may just be a slow printer head, maybe an upgrade is in order. look on the box for page printing speed.
it may also be that you have the resolution set too high for basic printing. try turning this down slightly.

it COPIES COLOR, BUT DOESN'T FAX

1. turn off / on the printer
2. press setup hold down and press options
3. press start color copy

worked for me on psc 2175

If the color cartridge doesn't print the color bars on the alignment page (either, redish pink, yellow or blue) then the alignment process will not finish. Same for the black. If the black cartridge is printing ok, then replace the color cartridge and try this again...
